Re: Meet at the Inn 10 years 9 months ago #865

"Widseth, and my friends and comrades, I think we all seek peace. Mine may never come for the peace I seek is from my own unforgivable actions. Pelor knows I have been less than his most faithful subject yet for some reason he keeps me around."

Delmar sighs, "What peace I may find most likely will come only in death. I will spend the last of my energies in fulfilling our quest my friends. Nothing will stop that, not now."

A gleam comes into Delmar's eyes and a smile plays across his face. "Let us be of good cheer for in the heart resides hope that may never be quelled. We shall use that hope of the light to destroy our foe. It is a weapon from which he can have no defense."
You can't fix stupid but you can TPK it.

"You are wise Delmar. If I guess correct, Pelor will sustain you because of your humility and desire to make things right. Remember the fourth card Madame Eva explained to you."

“The card represents the very heart of darkness in these lands: his home, his source, the center of his domain and the one place to which he must return. It is a very dark place, still if you are there and your heart is true then the powers of light will not fail you even in that place of darkness.”

"I do think the powers of light tire of this fiend's darkness. Delmar, you give me hope, and Cram you remind me of the value of steel in the hands of the skilled. We met him before and I think that despite his mask, there is fear building in his heart."

Other then the skeletal remains the crypt contains dozens of small bottles (assume any potions you have consumed can be replaced from there so cache if proper identification of there nature's can made (dc 12 bardic knowledge or spell craft check for each potion you wish to replace)), an ancient scroll tube bearing the symbol of pelor on an unbroken wax seal, and a sword with a large ruby in the hilt bearing a striking resemblance to Your dancing blade. Though the blade is clearly enchanted with far less potent magics (+1) and had been detached from the handle before being thrown back into the crypt by some unknown entity.

Kryndal investigates the alcoves in the back of St. Findaway's crypt, the source of the "pulling."

(OOC: Not sure if that's where Widseth was or not, and if the items found were located there.)

(The items are scattered around the tomb of Gralmore Nimblenobs)

The magical pull in the tomb of St. Fimdaway seems to intensify as you approach the alcoves in the back of the tomb.

Kryndal tells the others in the party about the "pull," and continues to the alcoves.

As Kryndal steps into the first of the alcoves there is a flash of darkness and he is gone.

Barkley grabs the scroll as he heads for the alcove.

"A leap of faith indeed," he mutters as he steps in, praying it isn't the last thing he ever does.

Be wary, friends. I believe we are beset by either a Grammar Beast or the Dread Auto-corrector, for both of our wizards speak of 'conjugation' magic.

"Of course, I misspoke," Breon says. "Magic is some type of conjuration magic."

"There is safety in numbers," Breon exclaims, looking at the others and following Barkley into the alcove.

"I will follow, and make sure we are not followed." Cram gestures the other party members to the alcove.

Shortly those of you who entered the alcove find your senses overcome by vertigo. A moment later as you re-orientate yourself you discover you are standing with Kryndal in the crypt where you discovered the coffin containing the vampire Ireena. Some quick experimentation shows the effect to be both repeatable and bidirectional.

I find a potion of Barkskin and a potion of Cat's Grace. I search for Bull Strength but don't find one. I did not find a scroll of Speak with Dead. I do find a stone like the one I used on Ireena (if there is actually a Savior Stone in the tomb--In fairness you should probably roll for that).

I did not follow the others into the alcove.
