I sheathe my sword and the dancing sword returns to my hand. I inspect the other doors and windows.

"If we wake her, 1 of 2 things happens: We have a liability going forward. Or, we have a fight on our hands. If we leave her 1 of 2 things happen: We have an enemy at our back, or the vampire has a pawn to pit against us. This whole situation is a loss, my friends."
Cram frowns at this thought, and checks his belt pouch absently.

"The choice we must make is to wake her. If we fight, we see it coming. If we don't we know where our liability is."

To the west is a privy in the center of which stands stands a large, ornate iron tub. There is also a closet within which hang 28 capes and an assortment of black formal wear. There are two windows set in the western most wall behind the tub covered with heavy curtains. Both the privy and the bed chamber have doors on the southern wall, neither seems to be locked. Further inspection of the room with your lenses of true seeing also revivals the outline of a concealed passage behind the headboard though to access it the bed will need to be moved likely waking the girl.

Breon approaches the bed, and (OOC - I assume) the rest of the party surrounds it, weapons at the ready. He knocks on the headboard three times, and calls for the girl to wake.

I release the dancing sword to ward against the door to the privy, draw my other sword and face the rear watching the door to the south.

The girl stirs in the large bed waking gently with a yawn and a stretch.

"Is breakfast ready," she yawns rubbing her eyes.

"My name is Gertruda, Gertruda Barovian daughter of Mary Barovian," the girl on the bed says in a sing song voice, "The count asked my here a few days ago but I haven't seen him since. Food appears on the bench there each morning and I wait so I assume he must be quite busy with something most pressing, he is such a proper gentleman to ignore a guest this long he must be quite distracted by something."

In my most charming voice, I say, "Gertruda, we are new to the area. Can you tell us about your mother? We don't know her. Is she a noble in the town? Did she know the Count well? Did she come to the castle with you or did others come? Were you here for Sergei and Tatyana's wedding? We are also guests of the Count. Do you know the castle well? Can you tell us how to find him or are you confined to this room?

(I motion to Cram and Lexan. In a low whisper I tell them there is a secret door behind the bed head board, and I suggest we move the bed and search for traps and a way to open the door.)

"You are a man of many questions master bard," Gertruda giggles, " I will try my best to answer them. My mother lives in the town, and she is no noble. She is a herbilist and the villagers call her Mad Mary sometimes though I do not know why. She has always seemed a picture of sanity to my eyes. I know not of the wedding of which you speak or this Sergi or Tatyana though that would make sense and possibly even explain my dear counts preoccupation these past few days. I am not confined though I will admit I have yet to explore much of the castle. The count came to me in the town a few days hence and invited me here to the castle, perhaps for this wedding of which you speak. If you would like we can seek him together, if you are guests for the wedding I am sure the count would want to great you in person."

"You know, the Ki of this room is out of balance. I think the bed needs to be repositioned to maximize the harmony. Miss Gertruda, if I could trouble you to stand for a moment, and friend Cram, if you would assist me."

"I'm happy to help with the redecorating, as well. Miss, if you'd please allow us to trouble you..."
