Cram waves off the spell.

"I do not need that healing. A berry would do fine for me."

*OOC - I have a Silverweave Shirt and am 5th level for a total of -2 damage, so I only took 2*

Handing Cram 2 berries, "Restore yourself my friend. As the desert dwellers often say, the best place to carry your water is inside you."

I search the remains for anything that might be useful.

Breon happily accepts the magical healing. "Many thanks, my friend."

Breon searches the area to see if the skeletons were guarding anything.

You turn up nothing of value among the skeletal remain save a few rotted trinkets and keepsakes that lead you to believe these skeletons may have once belonged to the former villagers of Barovia. As to their purpose, the skeletons seem to have been guarding a set of spiraling stairs leading up at the end of the passage.

"Upwards and onwards," says Breon. He gets ready to follow the warriors who will take the lead.

I assume I saw nothing coming at us from behind. I silence the lute so as not to make any noise to alert anything up the stairs. I follow behind occasionally checking behind the party.

Cram waits for Lexan to check for traps, then ascends cautiously up the stairs.

OOC: Sorry for the long absence, RL has been hectic the last few days

The stairs before you circle up throught he dusty hall until they reach a wide walkway that circles around most of the keep. The drizzle of rain continues outside as the vampires unnatural storm rages over head. Far below these parapets are the shining wet cobblestones of the courtyard.

Following the walkway your group discovers several windows into the keep but all are shut and locked tight. Odds are good you could smash your way in with some effort but it would alert anyone inside. Looking out over the court yard you can see that the draw bridge has as you suspected been raised. Beyond it you can just make out Ismark sheltering from the storm under a stand of trees on the far side with your horses.

There are 3 windows of the west wall and a door on the north that could be forced open.
