TOPIC: Meet at the Inn

Re: Meet at the Inn 11 years 4 months ago #337

I touch my lute and it begins to play in concert with the organ, countering the somber tones with a bright tune to be sung in the sunshine. I hold a rune stone and rub it until it flickers and disappears into my sword hand. (activated runestone of the viper-for the time we are within the castle--the sun runestone is afixed to my sword in hand and activated).

I look down the hallway to the south, toward the sound of the organ music. Do I see anything of note, particularly where the music is coming from?

"I think we could use all of the help we can find before facing Strahd again," I say. "If there is a vault below it may hold the silver raven we seek." I also scan the walls for writing of any kind that might help us get a better layout of this place.

OOC: Thanks for providing the organ music, cdsmith!

To the untrained ear the music seems to fill the hall and surround you but your bardic training grants you more then a passing familiarity with instruments of this type. If you were to guess you could say with as much certainty as is possible in these cases the organ itself concealed behind a set of double doors in the hall to the south.

OOC: Side note, if anyone tells me there going in a direction I'm going to assume the party is sticking together unless I'm told otherwise.

(Do we still have daylight outside--if so how much?)

(Unless I'm mistaken the stairway goes up. Do we see a way down yet?)

"I hate to go up or down, leaving a possible enemy behind us. The music is coming from that behind those doors." I point to the doors in the hall to the south.

"In as much as we could not find a hidden way to enter, he knows we are here. I suggest we investigate the source of the music. Perhaps one by one we can take down his minions and limit the strength he could call on to assist him when we face him. But I defer to those who have much more favor with Pelor than I. What are your thoughts?"

Its around noon, the storm mitigates things somewhat but the day is far from over.

EDIT: better yet Ill provide a fog of war, you entered through room 7, are currently in room 8, and can hear the music coming from behind a door in room 9. The stairs in room 9 lead down (though they are not as apparently visible until you get closer).

I scan the frescoes on the walls and ceilings. Is there anything remarkable or of note?
