TOPIC: 2028 Transmuted Token Images

Starting this year, and moving forward, we wish to offer some unique weapon choices for a few classes each year. We also plan on doing the same thing with Figurines of Power.

Thank you for your feedback!

Io's Dagger:
What is the "Dancing" effect?

Can Rogues Sneak Attack with it at ranged without other tokens?

Is Dancing the same here as it is for Widseth's +2 Dancing Sword? If so.... oh man. That's going to get crazy.

On the goggles transmute chain, while more hit is nice, was sort of hoping for maybe other effects than just raw numbers. Maybe something like true sight, or some sort of protection effect built into them or something, to make them a little more interesting.

Just spit balling some ideas at the moment, see what sticks.

I am very excited about the coming new weapons I'd like to see more weapon varieties overall in the dungeon and am very excited as a Rogue main Bard back up for that Dirk! Is there any chance that it will have any of the text from night shades +2 throwing dagger that is only on tokendb like being able to sneak at range or allowing your sneak damage to crit?

Also I am interested in the Dancing effect for bards while playing. Does this refer to Widseth's dancing sword that can act on it's own and it so how will that work in the dungeon? Can a bard with Io's Dirk and Widseth's legendary Lute have a dancing attack, a normal attack and bard song? Or is it only Dancing attack, Spell, and bard song?

I will say I am a little disappointed in the Legendary lenses just being bigger number and not give any bonus effects like the allusive true sight or even seeing invisible or in darkness.

FoP: Astral Panther
What does the "19-20 slide - Lesser Maze 1rd" mean?

Hi Jeff!

Thanks for letting us comment, this looks like a fun set.

Can someone equip different rarities of the Panther FOP tokens, or can they just equip one? Maybe it isn't broken resliding 2-3 times per game.

For the Legendary Dirk of Dancing, would the Bard be able to wield this and another weapon while using Widseth's UR or Legendary instruments? Also, since this basically has the same effect as his artifact, it would be a very nice tribute to him to name this the +5 Widseth's Dirk of Dancing.

Edit: To be consistent, it would be nice if this were named Widseth's +5 Dancing Dirk.

On the Bead of Utility/Grunnel's Bag: does the class I'm playing need to be on the scroll to use it?

It's too bad that Grunnel's Bag of Tricks doesn't work on UR tokens, and for non-healing/damage tokens. I was hoping to get some use out of my Scroll of Fly. I'm guessing that is the main reason those limitations are in place.

Re participation relics: I feel like my group might be the target audience for these. We try to run everything once. This means we have just enough resources to make 1 of each of the participation relics. And these participation relics are the best tokens in our collection b/c we aren't investing as much as others in this forum so they are really exciting for us to plan around.

The Bead: +1 level, not really useful for those highly invested, still exciting for me as not everyone has it in my group. However, the bead is a weird slot for us. We don't all have the TE beads, but we are meeting and running with those that do and are often kind enough to lend us their extras. When this happens we lose access to beads in our builds (to be fair, we could be less greedy and use it.... but we're adventures so the thought hardly ever crosses our minds). Could you please move this relic to another slot? Or create a +1 bead in another slot so relic participation beads are easier to access when we do get invited along with the those who are on another level?

The Pants: Again, I assume the big leagues will stick with Kilt of Dungeonbane for stats and have another method of free movement. Not having the kilt this is an exciting option for us. My concern is the poison immunity. Seems like it either breaks an encounter, or does nothing all run. Both are less than ideal. In either case, if poison is the theme of the year, we cannot get the relic until after everything is done. Meaning it is unclear the next time that mechanic will be useful.

Thanks for letting my voice my opinions

Io’s Dirk makes me want to switch to Bard or Rogue because of how cool it is, so I’d say that’s good design.

The relic dagger would give many classes a 3x crit ability that didn’t have one before, including the incredibly strong dual-wield melee ranger. Until now I believe 3x crits are limited to rogue and dwarf fighter. If that’s too spicy, the relic may do better with some class restrictions.

The Sluglock Bracers could do with a boost. There are many options in pack rares that do more than +2 reflex saves.

I’m not poo-pooing the idea of putting lesser maze on the panther, but I think many DMs (including myself honestly) will need a refresher on how to handle the effect.

The pants are neat.
