TOPIC: NEW! 2027 Volunteer & Participation Tokens Round 2.5

The long delayed Round 2 for the Participation and Volunteer tokens is finally finished. Y'all gave us too many good ideas. It tooks awhile to redo all the art, but we thank you all the same. We ran with the idea of making each set a mini-chaser set that that transmutes into some cool themed Relic at the end of the year.

For the Tome of Elder Lore, wouldn't it be easier to make it like using psychic powers, rather than a new effect you have to figure out every year? You could have a table of 10 things like the Acid Rain spell and someone who has the Tome could pick an appropriate one for the moment during their adventure. That way you don't have to maintain anything. Just set it and forget it.

Thanks. That might be a good way to go. Luckily, we have the tokendb.com to explain it all. And we can even add 1-2 new Magics to it every few years to keep things fun.

It is a spell book. And unless you want it to be like Coriakin's book in Voyage of the Dawn Treader, one should be able to access any page in the book.

This was my favorite magic item back in my high school days. It did not allow page turning, so that is why I thought of it this way.

I had a character with a Book of Infinite Spells that had the page open to lower water, that was way more interesting of a spell when you can spam it in caverns and over open water like a ocean, it was second edition we were playing.

I think my main concern is that the charm slot is already crowded, and two charm participation tokens is a lot. I’d recommend something else entirely from the Cosmic charm for a participation tokens.

I like the charm slot over another bead. But ioun stones might be better.

Yes, I’d go with Ioun Stone.
