TOPIC: Huge Thank You for Providing us the Raven's Eye Adventure

Huge Thank You for Providing us the Raven's Eye Adventure 4 days 13 hours ago #1

I would like to thank the TD Staff, NPC's, Golems, Innkeepers, Coaches, DM's, Jeff and Lori, CPN, Troy, Matthew, John, and anyone else involved in bringing Raven's Eye to life for our enjoyment. Your team knocked it out of the park again! The adventure flowed from Room to Room and the storyline was very well put together.

The puzzles were intriguing, very solvable but required thought and deductive reasoning to decipher the clues and runes. I really like changing the solutions from day to day. Having to identify the runes was neat. Figuring out the 24-letter alphabet was a cool twist and something we are not used to. The Ring on the Raven was a great clue if you knew what the picture was on the only 250 GP piece. Solving the anagrams was great and then putting them together in the end.

The combats were excellent. The monsters were formidable and dealt a decent amount of damage of various types. The Giant Shock Eel was different with the Electric effect. Throwing sand at Njord's Lookout was new to gain initiative. The searing eyes laser effect with Njord's Lookout was very cool and new to us. Gunhild Helsdottier summoning assistants made us wonder what they were going to do. It was interesting to see each had a different effect. All in all there were a lot of little things that added to the enjoyment of the adventurers.

The NPC's were on spot brilliant. The inflections and tones in their voices were fantastic. A big shout out to Gunhild Helsdottier for having such a sinister laugh. It was very haunting and so in character. The NPC for Ymir's Mug Tavern Puzzle was very good with his inflections and descriptions. He brought the party into the scene and interacted with them. The glint in his eye was so in character. Having the mug puzzle when there was a lot of time left was much appreciated. Being able to solve the mug puzzle was even better.

I also want to give a shout out to our DM's. They are very good at giving commentary in the combats. It is flavorful, descriptive and make the adventure so much fun. Referencing the weapons adventurers are using is a big plus here also.

Once again Thank You to everyone involved in bringing our party of adventurers a few hours of enjoyment away from the mundane tasks we complete each day.

I didn't get to see the changing answers over the different days, but I really enjoyed the final puzzle on Friday.

I may be biased, tho ;)

Oh, yes, I *loved* the NPC for that room. Or - more accurately - I loved to hate him! He was excellent.

More of this, please!

Can anyone tell me what the reward was if you activated the secret thing? I know what it was but no one I spoke to could tell me and unfortunately I only was able to run 1 run this weekend.

Are you referring to the puzzle in Room 2--Ymir's Mug Tavern Puzzle? Once the chest padlocks were unlocked, we received the map showing the way to the Temple of Njord, a bottle of Universal Solvent (Had to ask for it or he was going to throw it away). Since we had a lot of time left we were directed to a wall of mugs with runes on them. We had to choose and decipher a rune from each row. They spelled Ymir. We received a pouch of extra treasure from the chest (gold) and endless bar drinks at the tavern.

Ahhh, that makes sense. We didn’t get to do the additional puzzle. Really cool that that was there
