TOPIC: Ticket Swap - Thu 1PM

First timer to True Dungeon here.

So my friends have told me year after year about True Dungeon and how much fun it is. Well since this is my first year going to GenCon I figured I would join them. Unfortunately I accidentally grabbed part 1 instead of part 2. I wasn't aware of there being different parts, I just made sure it was the same time and day.

So is there somebody with a Part 2 ticket that is willing to swap for my Part 1 ticket? It is on Thursday and at 1PM, but I have Part 1 instead of Part 2.

I am not seeing a post for that time slot, so you might just wait and be in the area 30 minutes before your run and try and see if you can meet up to trade. Also if you have no luck with that discuss it with TD there, sometimes they allow 11 people on a run to help people like you for good customer service reasons.

I know those time slots are there because I'm looking at mine it says for Thur 1PM, and my friends sent me a screenshot for their ticket and it says part 2 for the same time. So it's probably not showing because it's sold out???

I think Wayne is referring to the forums rather than the Gen Con site, there's a forum here for people who are looking for more information/players on specific runs. Since there's no post about your run, the other people with tickets may not be forum users.

Good news - you’re in luck since you can do the runs in any order and don’t need to have done one to enjoy another. I wouldn’t worry too much about it!

I was looking at the group index here on the TD forum

I think their overall ask is to get into a run with their friends who have a completely different time. The OP thought they were getting a ticket for the same time as their friend group but did not and are wanting to swap their ticket for someone with the same run time.

As a pro tip for future reference, if you pay close attention to the minutes part of your start time (instead of thinking of it as "1pm"), you'll find that TD HQ cleverly makes the times unique to help minimize the opportunity for confusion, for example:

Thursday, 1:00 PM EDT (Raid on Ravenshold)
Thursday, 1:01 PM EDT (Runecrag Crypt)
Thursday, 1:02 PM EDT (Eldest Ice Unbroken)

In general there are runs each hour starting at :00,:01,:02, :12,:13,:14, :24,:25,:26, :36,:37:38, and :48,:49,:50.

So I'm guessing what you mean here is that you currently have a Thu 1:00 PM ticket that you're hoping to swap for a Thu 1:01 PM ticket?

Oh it's just me trying to switch to their group for Part 2. As described in the beginning, I was looking at day and time but didn't know that there were different parts. Guess my bad for not knowing the lingo for how these things worked

For a first time, at least you got a ticket!

I do wish you luck in getting a ticket to run part 2 with your friend group! TD is good by itself, but it's great with a friend group!

I would verify with your friends exactly what run they are doing. I assume by part 2 they are referring to Runecrag Crypt, which is the second of the three adventures. Which would mean you are looking for the 1:01pm time slot.
