First up I want to say thanks to everyone for the amazing response to grind tickets this year. Even I wasn't expecting them to sell out that fast but its very gratifying to see how excited everyone is. We will all do our best to make sure we cook up some really crazy battles for you all to "enjoy".

Anyway to get things started these are this years variable token effects for Grind at GHC.

UR Special: Black Sparks
You may turn in an UR special (inside the dungeon) anytime someone slides a natural 20 to trigger a black flash gaining an immediate +2 hit / +2 damage bonus for the party. This blessing lasts for the rest of the dungeon. (i.e. All subsequent 20 slides will grant another stack of the same bonus.)

Wonder: Elemental Harmony: Once per room, you may re-roll a failed saving throw against Fire-based effects. If you succeed you may re-absorb the energy to heal yourself (and everyone else under a wonder effect) for 10 HP.

Eldritch Runestone:Flame warden’s Grip
You may ignore class and hand requirements when sliding. Items held in your hands are also considered immune to drop and other baneful environmental effects. (i.e. a rogue could slide a Savage Sword or a ranger could dual wield Death cleavers once they got into the dungeon (but the party card would still need to be filled out normally))
Semper Gumby, Always flexible.

Sartre sits in in a coffee shop and asks for a coffee without cream. The barista apologizes “Sorry, we don't have any cream. Can I offer you a coffee without milk instead?”

Awesome!

Not specifically about variable powers, but tangentially related: can we use our once per year RoSP/SoC benefit to play a sub-class in Grind?

Yes, my AC is lower than the Wizard's. No regrets!
