TOPIC: 2025 Condensed Pack Quantities

Based on the token mix for 2025, these are what we're thinking of using for Condensed Pack quantities for next year's tokens. For comparison, the 2024 actual quantities have been included in the table below. Anyone see any egregious errors?

Friendly Reminder: 1k packs do not contain Aragonite, Elven Bismuth, or Oil of Enchantment because in 1k packs only the Commons are converted to Trade items.

Are 1k condensed a good value? I was thinking of getting one in 2025.

In my opinions yes. The math gets complicated quickly when you start factoring in secondary markets as well as your current goals. My standard buy in is a 1k condensed pack every year. Then based on how my hobby budget looks, I try to snag some of what else I need by participating in auctions. If you are not aware, when next season tokens go on sale a fair number of people will auctions off contents of 8k packs in order to help fund the pack. These happen in a variety of ways so make sure you read the particulars of each auction. Honestly I most often get the best value participating in said auctions but it can be hit and miss what you are able to get and the value fluctuates. The 1k guarantees me 4 ultra rares that I want as well as token bulk that becomes trade bait. Also don't be afraid to just buy something you really want. There are plenty of things for sale and it is not uncommon to be able to buy something cheaper than you could make it.

It is nice that both Dwarven Steel and Minotaur Hide are getting a boost from last year.

It’s meant to approximate what would happen if you bought 10 packs and then sorted all the tokens and transmuted all the commons into trade goods. You get 120 random rares and 240 random uncommons.

It also ensures you get an average amount of random URs (80% chance of 5, 20% chance of 4) as opposed to a more random distribution odds on 10 packs (where you could get 3 or 6 or even more extreme numbers or random URs with 1/100 odds per pack).

If you value your time and would transmute commons anyway it’s a great deal.
