TOPIC: Gen Con 2024 Group Index

Let me know if I missed any threads, or if the statuses are incorrect on anything. Suggested improvements are also welcome.

Index details
Each thread in the index corresponds to one (occasionally more than one) dungeon run. These threads are useful for getting to know your group members and organizing the run in advance, so the short 24 minutes in the coaching room are less stressful.

While it is a very good idea to try and find your group beforehand, these threads are not offical sign ups. Players who do not participate still get an equal claim to their preferred class in the coaching room. If your thread is missing players, keep this in mind, and have backup classes ready to go.

Each dungeon gets its own post, which is subdivided by day. There is also a section for only the runs that are LFM.

Run statuses
(Statusees? Statusi? Stupid Latin correspondence course!)

• LFO (Looking for Others) - The group is still looking for some of the tickets for the run.
• LFM (Looking for More) - The group has all of the tickets for the run, but not every ticket has a player yet. LFM status will include the number of remaining tickets, and if the group has set a difficulty, that will also be included.
• FULL - All players are accounted for.

Also want to recommend that you this post or gencon.eventdb.us/category.php?EventType=TDA when searching for available runs.

I know the above is only periodically updated and may not be "up to the minute". However, if you're using the Gen Con website and using their search abilities, you may be missing events that still have open tickets.
Example: 2:15pm and 10:15pm for Temple of the Dune Viper both have 2 available tickets. Using the Gen Con site, both look to be sold out unless you click on their detail, which shows 2 tickets available.

This bug/error occurs several times using Gen Con's site. I haven't reviewed Tomb of Terror Redux yet, but The Golden Obelisk has 59 tickets available, only 40 are showing as not Sold Out through a search on the Gen Con site. Curse of the Crimson Isle has 55 tickets available, only 41 are showing through Gen Con's site.

Edit: Tomb of Terror Redux has 106 available tickets, only 69 are showing through Gen Con search of runs not Sold Out.

In summary, there are currently 70 tickets you won't find if you look on the Gen Con site for runs not Sold Out.

I've been aware of the search results page issue since I added ticket counts to the indexes. Instead, I get the counts I use in the index from the individual event detail pages. Since that's where you actually buy the tickets, I figure that's the most accurate place to see what's actually available. So, yeah. you can use Gen Con's search results page, which isn't always accurate, or you can use the eventdb link or this post, neither of which are real-time.
