Just a special "Thank You" to Lori, Jeff, John, Troy, Matthew, Caitlin, Druegar, the app developers/updaters, and the multitude of volunteers that made GenCon 24 so memorable for the adventurers in the dungeons. Others that deserve special thanks are all of my Local Install friends and acquaintances--building 25 dungeon rooms plus coaching and transmuting was a monumental task that was handled in spectacular fashion. All of the rooms and walls were up after Day 1, the electrical and sound (mostly) were up at the end of Day 2, Day 3 consisted of final tweaks, safety items, etc. A special thanks to Mike and Jen Naglee, Yancey, David Haas, Jason. James (there were a lot of James) for directing and keeping us all on task.
Another round of Thank You's goes to all of the NPC's. coaches, and behind the scenes workers. They did a fantastic job bringing a lot of smiles, gasps and sighs of relief from adventurers. The runs I went on were memorable and the adventurers were enthralled with all of the dungeon components--lighting, sound, decor, varying decorations and changes in the room walls. The Rogue notepads for solving the rogue clue in Temple of the Dune Viper were a new touch (pun intended) and were well-received.
GenCon 24 led to a lot of positive reviews/comments from new adventurers as well as a lot of oohs, aahs and looks of wonder and amazement. All of the new adventurers in my groups enjoyed the dungeons immensely.
On another note, trading for Idols was brisk and brought adventurers together again. The chase and meeting people in person is worth it. Congratulations to all of you who scored some salsa. Thank you all for a memorable GenCon.
