TOPIC: How did ya do? How did the Gen Con process go for you?

I hope everything is going as smoothly as possible for everyone. Did you get the tickets you wanted? How was the process relative to past years?

I got VERY lucky this year, was 321 during the event submission and got the early Saturday run my group wanted. This was the first year I got a number under 5000, so it was kind of neat getting everything on my wish list for the first time ever.

This year seems kinda nuts. It appears that electronic tickets are perhaps not blocking paper tickets, so people have really messed up overlapping schedules. There are also still people waiting for the list to process with numbers in the high thousands, and they hit their process button two hours ago.

I started close to 7000, two hours later still over 3000. Not clear to me why the drop is so slow. At this rate, probably another hour to find out what the rest of my schedule will look like, as someone else got TD runs a long time ago.

We're looking pretty good this year. We got our one TD run for Saturday, and most of the non-TD stuff except for a Wednesday Zombiecide game.

Hit the button right away, got 390. Pulled 18 runs from my wish list, but only kept 5. My credit card was going to have problems with a $20k charge.

Still got 2280 to go. Some of mine are sold out. I hope something is left

Terrible on my end. I am trying to get a full run, got 6 new players I wanted to show the game, but I ended up 9000 in line at noon. I wished 9 different runs and I am watching them slowly sell out. Still 4000 people in front of me.

My wishlist and my wife's are still waiting for our turns.
It is taking a LOT longer to process lists this year.
Luckily, someone else in the DDA got a low numbers and got all the tickets our group needs, so now I am just waiting to find out if I got the non-TD stuff I want (I already see I am not getting the lorcana tickets I wanted).

As for why it is so slow...from what the person who got tickets could tell, their cart was constantly changing while processing their wishlist. It looks like the system was adding tickets one at a time (one ticket, not run), THEN checking for any errors or conflicts, and if there were issues it would dump the tickets back out into the system.

Hit the button precisely when registration opened. Received number 8800. After 2 hours 15 minutes, still waiting at 3335 in line. Hope there is still some TD and other events left for my family of 4 when my turn comes.

On the good end, a friend who always has great luck got us a whole Barb Beard Treasure run. Several new players and most of my old group that gave up TD several years ago!
That will be amazing!

I have some of the sealed pack runs in my wishlist too, which are now redundant since my friend got one.
If i get them, does anyone want them, or should i just return them?
