I have all 10 tickets and am looking for more players; post here with class preferences if you'd like to join! Cost is $74 each; I'll PM payment details once we have critical mass.

Order of the Hedgehog precepts:

• win as many combats as possible using ONLY Retribution damage (no attacking)
• mercilessly attack any foes too cowardly to engage us in melee
• must consent to combat-related spoilers
• Nightmare difficulty

1. David Zych: Cleric/Bard/Druid/Elf/Paladin/Fighter/Dwarf/any (CoA x2, HHL)
2. zinniz: Barbarian {paid}
3. Alex: ? {paid:zinniz}
4. BasicBraining: Ranger/any martial {paid}
5. BeLinda: Fighter {paid}
6. kendal: Elf / flexible (CoA, HHL) {paid}
7. Jason Efford: Fighter/Dwarf {paid}
8. Cary Kelly: Paladin/Cleric {paid}
9. Wade: Rogue {paid}
10. ralykam: ? {paid:Wade}

Build for high RD , low AC (12 is usually good), and at least some melee DR .

Remember you must actually take at least 1 point of melee damage per hit in order to inflict RD, so too much melee DR is counterproductive, but if you get hit 10 or 15 times then each point of melee DR you equip is worth 10 or 15 hp!

Torso: Plate of the Forge (Cleric, Fighters & Paladin) or Scorpion Chitin Armor
Hands: Berserker Gloves
Back: Cloak of Retribution
Waist: Belt of Thorns or Belt of Retribution

I have several extra Amulet of Thorns, Plate of the Forge, Charm of Thorns, and Charm of Barbs, and one extra Cloak of Retribution.

BeLinda also has an extra Cloak.

Im happy to play any martial. Put me down for ranger but I don’t mind switching off.

If anyone is going to do a run before hedgehogs I think it would be great to have a call on discord before the run to strategize. We have a little time during coaching but they usually want builds finalized during that time. Let me know what y’all think.

Welcome! Always happy to have new hedgehog recruits. I've put you down as Dwarf, so the trickiest part of making a hedgehog build will probably be lowering your AC. Check out the tokendb links in my original post, but Berserker Gloves are really helpful, as are the recent completion tokens with -1ac on them... let the group know if you're missing some of these that you need, and we may be able to lend extras.

Also, when our DM arrives on the Zoom session for the run, be sure to remind us that you haven't played VTD before, so we can spend a few minutes giving you a chance to familiarize yourself with where all the buttons are in the software before we actually enter room 1. It's easy once you know what you're doing, but there's a bit of a learning curve the very first time.

Sure! For anybody who wants to, the Discord has a "VTD Table xx:36" voice channel we can use for this. I'll try to be there by ~8:15ish (I have another run 5:48-7:48 and then will likely want to eat something).

Sounds great and I have the big 2 retribution tokens. I will have to play with a build in the next week and see what I can officially come up with. Looking forward to this.

I just pulled a spare Cloak of Retribution in treasure, so there are now 2 loaners available in the party for anyone interested in joining!
