TOPIC: Bravo! (spoilers inside)

Without any spoilers, I'll just say I found this week's adventure immensely satisfying and fun.

I had a great PUG which helped of course, but the dungeon design deserves a ton of credit.

Thank you to the volunteers and staff who make this possible.

Our NPC's and DM's are doing a great job this event.
I think a "Whoooo-Ha" to all of them is well deserved.

Agreed, the combat, puzzles, DM and NPCs were great for this adventure.
I play Rogue. Occasionally I even play Rogue well.

It’s always fun to meet new NPCs.

It will be a sad day when they have to fight it out amongst themselves as to which one of them will be the one to betray us first.

Great design! NPC's, Golems, DmM's, Innkeepers, Coaches, Monsters, design, puzzles, other volunteers and staff.

This was one of the best VTD's to date. Very enjoyable and appealing. Jeff, staff and Lori nailed it.

Now that the weekend's over, I wanted to mention some of my favorite parts:

1. The Interdimensional Deathroll Crocodiles - what a great mechanic to make AC matter a bit - and also to give a chance to use some of the few Maze immunity effects.

In our group the Rogue and I got pulled in, and the Rogue was at 5 HP. I used the Pirate's Privilege effect from the Ring of Wonder to drink a healing potion, and used Lotus Blossom Bowls to also heal the rogue via interdimensional drinking magic (thanks Chip!).

Everyone survived.

2. I liked the Basilisk effect, as well as the fact that it wasn't perma-death.

3. I liked the Demon who had Done The Work during his timeout and wanted to help us get out. I also liked being in a group that solved a puzzle involving a ship's wheel (those have been killers in the past lol).

While the character was well written, the NPC performance put it over the top to great.

4. The last puzzle was just a delight - offering 2-3 places where we had 'a-ha' moments which is the fun part of puzzles for me.

Overall I really liked the combat mechanics in this episode, they seem to be in a spot where a somewhat more well rounded build with saves, AC, and damage output (possibly at range to avoid retribution) are all being traded off.

I quite agree with you. I had a blast!!!! My highlights across 6 or 7 separated runs:

On Epic 1st run of the weekend we had solved the puzzle in room 7 before the gem was written on the side or I turned. Part Luck and part our golem was a speed stacker!!!

Had time run out in room 6 once but it was a blast with a Ferret running around shooting spells off everything!! Also in 6 we had a cleric I think, do divine intervention and rolled a nat 20 ( 1st time seeing this ) and we ended up 2 rounding the gators in under 4 minutes. Was amazing to see!

Many more but I really like to do special thanks to our 2 NPC’s and golems who we deff put through the ring. Our DM’s across all runs were amazing. Each one put a slight twist on the rooms with unique action sequences and unique storytelling, truly amazing. Outside of all this, I’d have to say our little Devil companion was quite fun and amusing. His facial expressions especially when he would turn the wheel and it would complete when he said it was not possible…. Lots of fun!

Thank you TDA and we even saw a brief view of Grunnel. Only for a few seconds but it’s nice to see things like that, even you weren’t expecting it! Really looking forward to all of the adventures to come!!

Ditto on everything Matt and Tyrael said. This adventure was challenging but quite enjoyable. The NPC's added a lot. The new monsters were great as were their effects. Nicely done Jeff and crew. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Great work thanks.

Did anyone use a mirror by chance on the stone monster?

We had a couple people who did. Made it harder to hit and still turned melee weapons to stone but they didn’t have to make the Fort save against petrification.
