td.events/conventions/vtd12/slots/21395 - Operation Shiny New Cloaks!

I have all 10 tickets and am looking for more players; post here with class preferences if you'd like to join! Cost is $74 each; I'll PM payment details once we have critical mass.

Order of the Hedgehog precepts:

• win as many combats as possible using ONLY Retribution damage (no attacking)
• mercilessly attack any foes too cowardly to engage us in melee
• must consent to combat-related spoilers
• Nightmare difficulty

1. David Zych: Cleric/Bard/Elf/Paladin/Fighter/Dwarf (CoA x2)
2. BeLinda: Fighter {paid}
3. zinniz: any = Bard {paid}
4. Alex: Monk {paid:zinniz}
5. Wade: Dwarf {paid}
6. ralykam: Paladin {paid:Wade}
7. Charles Russell: any = Rogue {paid}
8. James W: Bard/Druid {paid}
9. kendal: Wizard/Elf {paid}
10. BasicBraining: Ranger {paid}

We can run this with anywhere from 5-10 players as long as we have enough TEs to cover the ghosts, so please let me know what TEs you have (and also if you happen to be interested in buying leftover ghosts).

Build for high RD , low AC (12 is usually good), and at least some melee DR .

Remember you must actually take at least 1 point of melee damage per hit in order to inflict RD, so too much melee DR is counterproductive, but if you get hit 10 or 15 times then each point of melee DR you equip is worth 10 or 15 hp!

New to retribution builds? Belt of Thorns and Cloak of Retribution are where it's at, but some classes can reach 15 RD with no URs:
Neck: Amulet of Thorns
Torso: Plate of the Forge (Cleric, Fighters & Paladin)
Waist: Belt of Retribution
Charm: Charm of Thorny Barbs
Charm: Charm of Thorns
Charm: Charm of Barbs

I have extra Amulet of Thorns, Plate of the Forge, Charm of Thorns, and Charm of Barbs.

Charles has 2 extra cloaks of retribution and 1 extra belt of thorns

Yep, go ahead and put me down as Fighter. That seems to fit well for this run. (I can be flexible if someone else really wants it, though.) I've got my Cloak of Retribution and am ready to dish out an extra 10 points of ret damage!

If you don't mind me playing from my phone in the airport after 3 days in Vegas, I'm in.

If people are looking for some of the other uncommon and rare retribution items I should have extras of most if not all of the non-consumables.

I can do this one. I'd like to play Bard or Druid. I have some R/UC Retribution items, but may want to borrow others. I don't have a CoA, so hopefully the group is set there. I do have a set of 10 Auri's Candles for hedgehogs to get their HP up.

Feel free to use one of my spare cloaks and if no one has claimed it I do have one spare belt of thorns.

Separate from that, I think that we should try to finalize classes. Does anyone mind if I grab rogue? If we have someone else who wants it I am still flexible. Also if we get a last minute add that would like rogue I am cool with flexing

I approve of picking classes! . Rogue is yours, I've slotted Wade and Rachel as their usual Dwarf and Paladin (don't want to make Wade do any extra thinking from the Vegas airport, lol), and I'll run Cleric as usual since nobody else has expressed a desire to.

Bard and Druid are both nice to have along IMO: Druid for extra healing of course, and Bard for things like cueing Earcuff of Ramparts and playing UC +4 save instruments depending on meta.

ICYMI: Ring of Wonder no longer provides DR per truedungeon.com/forum?view=topic&catid=5&id=255901 so you probably want to slot something else
