TOPIC: LFM - Kids Only Run, Sat 11AM, Normal Only

We are trying to put together an only kids run on normal difficulty for Saturday, August 26th at 11AM. My daughter (10yo) is currently signed up. She has never played before, but is interested in trying it out. We plan on sitting in the back ground just so she can have help on hand.

Friendly note, most forumites will interpret "LFM" as meaning that you have already bought out all 10 tickets, and will resell them to people who join the run agreeing to follow your guidelines (thereby guaranteeing that your guidelines will in fact be followed).

That doesn't appear to be the case here, so you may want to re-title this thread "LFO" instead, indicating that each person who wants to join should purchase their own ticket directly from TD, and also that you can't actually guarantee it will turn out to be kids only (since somebody else could buy a ticket independently without agreeing to that).

Our conventional interpretations come from Andrew who does the index threads (e.g. truedungeon.com/forum?view=topic&catid=602&id=254974 ):

LFO (Looking for Others) - The group is still looking for some of the tickets for the run.
LFM (Looking for More) - The group has all of the tickets for the run, but not every ticket has a player yet. LFM status will include the number of remaining tickets, and if the group has set a difficulty, that will also be included.
FULL - All players are accounted for.

I've purchased tickets for my two kids to join! Charles, 13, Elf Wizard, and Clara, 8, Bard.

Thank you for the info. I don't normally post on the forums, so when I asked my husband what I should put, this is what he suggested.

To be fair, I didn't come up with those labels. I just went off of what was in common use at the time when I started indexing.

I checked on the tickets for this run, looks like only one is left! That's neat, I hope it'll be fun.

No one has chosen Cleric. Should I grab the last ticket so I can hang back and heal the kids as they go, or just let them do their thing and see what happens?

Okay, I picked up the last ticket. I don’t plan on doing much other than to keep them alive if they need it, heal push damage if they take it, that kind of thing.

Just posting to say that this sounds like the cutest VTD run.

I received a call this morning. Two men, new players, have tickets on this run. When I was initially contacted about a kids-only run I said that was fine, provided all the tickets were purchased by people who knew that it was an all-kids run. Now we have two random adult players who are just seeing the notes about the kids run. Obviously they would prefer a run with other adults. I'm going to try and move them, but they purchased a "Normal Only" run, which makes moving them difficult.

In the future, if you are planning a kids-only run, please buy out the 10 tickets so you can select the Normal Difficulty yourself (without it being a pre-selected normal only run) and arrange the kids and transfer the tickets.

There are three of us that are not kids either. We just noticed this today. We are new and wanted to try outa Normal run first.
