TOPIC: Trade Token Breakdown.

Trade Token Breakdown. 2 years 11 months ago #1

Might have been mentioned, and missed it.

But wondering what the current average breakdown of anticipated trade tokens one might get out of a $250 token buy. Trying to do a cost analyst to see if it's better to buy another lot.

Here's a quick calculator I made to determine that.

At 30 packs the laws of averages run against the individual packs. It is impossible for example to get each rare once even if there was a perfect distribution. The tool suggested I believe provides this info also. Good luck though.

Yes, well stated the randomness of the packs means average yield is not likely to hold on a small sample size like 30 packs. Personal experience says even at 360 packs you'll still see some tokens very widely from the average, especially among rares; by that point you do start to see Commons and Uncommons start to be closer to the average distribution, but there will always be outliers even with that many packs.

In case anyone is curious, here's a recent distribution of a 2022 8k order where I opened 960 ten packs:

Thank you Trent for the input on the 960 ten packs. The distribution is quite interesting and definitely shows where 30 ten packs is too small a distribution to be accurate on what you might get.

It's pretty funky/random every year. Sometimes with one 8k I end up missing one rare platinum (like in 2017) and sometimes I end up missing four (like in 2022).

I always want one of each gold/plat/onyx each year, and some years it's easier than others. Sometimes one 8k is enough, but most of the time it takes two to get a complete set.

This is just my experience though. Your miles may vary...hehe.

Wow...Talk about random/nuts...this is a really diverse answer. We got an 8K condensed....and dang...we got shafted in Gold...

to clarify, our Onyx Condensed only produced 38650 Gold...a long way short of 44000
