These two items will NOT stack with the Mad Evoker's Charm.

On the legendary, did you mean 3x damage all the time or 3x damage on crit? I think I understand from context 3x on crit, but not quite clear from token text.

Edit: If you mean 3x crit, it could say "slide spells 3x crit on 19-20," which would save you some space.

In order to speak on this change we need an official word if the clarifications around sliding spells has removed 10+ spell damage from them. The most recent wording change seems to indicate the UR tokens which benefit "spells" DO NOT benefit spells which require a slide.

If that's true that's a loss of probably 20 spell damage to sliding spells

Agree. Removing spell damage from all slide spells is a pretty rough change, given how the spell damage tokens are itemized.

The relic is WEAKER than the Medallion of Mystic Mouth.

Let that sink in

Mage Medallion - auto succeed spellchecks...
+3 damage on spell checks. WAY less than +9 from the last version.
Mad Evoker's is only 5HP instead of 10.

Total bonus of the Necklace - +9 damage at the cost of 5HP
Total bonus of the Medallion of Mystic Mouth - +8 damage at the cost of 1 rare wand per room

Relic opens the charm slot for those currently using the MEC.

The removal of nearly all free action spells from the Relic and Legendary cuts the per round damage output severely.

The Legendary -
1 FA level 0 spell per room and skill checks are +10
Slide Spells crit on 19-20 and deal *3 damage.

This drops the free action spells given to the wizard from an average of 14 damage scroll +15 damage spell check = 29 twice per round to

8 damage magic missile + 13 skill check damage = 21 * MEC = 42 damage + bonus at the cost of 5 health

And

3 damage level 0 free action spell + 13 skill check damage = 16 total. Not MEC triggerable

29+29 = 58 - no HP cost
42+16 = 58 - 5 HP cost

current design adds 1 FA spell per room. Previous design added 4 FA spells. This results in, for most runs, a loss of 1 free action spell as most runs have either 3 or 4 combat rooms.

The Legendary skill check damage IS +10 not ARE +10, so the total damage for the round is 9 less than you figured (6 from MEC cast, 3 from FA).

I hate sliding, but understand there are those who like it, so I'm neutral on that, though in a perfect world it would be "MMM, wand is not consumed".

So that pushes the Legendary to 49 using MEC vs the old one doing 59 without using MEC

This change is a massive DPS loss over all previous versions.

I'd like to check how a slid spell with MEC will calculate damage on a critical because it is confusing if it works the way I think it does:

Crit damage with MEC'd sliding spell = <base damage> x 4 + <bonus damage> x 3
For example, with a Ray of Shock and +10 damage = 18 x 4 + 10 x 3 = 102
Not (18 x 2 + 10) x 3 = 138

I'm thinking it is this way because the base damage is already doubled so I would assume the crit bonus is not multiplicative on that portion of the damage.

We also need a verified answer on if the ring of greater focus adds bonus damage to sliding spells after the update to the wording of "ranged attacks" and the tokendb changes to multiple tokens info.

It currently appears that sliding spells do not benefit from items that boost "spells" only ones that boost "ranged attacks" which is a big change if that's implemented
