So I am trying to figure out what rules people want to play with,

1. Ultra Dungeon, no reset of hp, spells, or skills/abilities.
2. Short Rest, reset HP but spells and skills/abilities are spent.
3. Long Rest, reset hp and skills/abilities (paladin lay on hands does not reset) but spells are spent.

I was under the impression that nothing would reset.

Some people expressed interest in HP resetting between dungeons. I don't really care but wanted to get some feedback.

My impression as well.

May I switch to Ranger? Just so I'm playing a different class in each mini-marathon.

I'm ok with resetting nothing.
Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)

I'm ok with whatever the group decides, but assumed nothing would reset.

I think the only question is what do we do if we all die in E2 room 7?

First question. Who has not run the dungeons before and/or who hasn't solved the puzzles?

Brian and I are ok with resetting nothing (that was the original premise and we’re fine with it).

We should also probably sort out who is going to be the Rogue, since we have two signed up. Brian’s best alternate classes are Fighter, Dwarf Fighter, Paladin, and Ranger, but I think all of those are taken with the current line-up/class requests. He’s a very good Rogue and good at “other melee” classes, but not much of a caster. Thoughts?

ETA: We’ve done both E2 and E3 on nightmare. We solved the sarcophagus puzzle at Origins but had some trouble with the GenCon version of it (I in particular will be useless on it). Should be good on all the other puzzles.

I liked Dave’s early suggestion that in the event of a TPK in room 7 of E2, we’re going to hand-wave divine intervention of some kind and be alive somehow for room 1 of E3.

Clearly the answer to two people wanting Rogue is that we make one of them the Bard, make the other the Druid, and give the Rogue to me.

On a serious note, we could probably use a Bard and a Druid. I can play either of them, and lend out a solid build for the other.

We have solid nightmare builds for Bard and Druid (not that they couldn’t be improved by borrowing a few things), I’m just not sure how excited my husband would be to play either of them. I’ll check with him and get back to the group. Totally agree that having both is a good idea. (Personally, I’m rather fond of being +4/+4 thanks to a Bard.)
