TOPIC: 2021: RE-PRINT Ideas?

16 months ago, Jeff started a thread to crowdsource good reprint candidates for 2020.

I don't know that anything has been confirmed 100% yet, but if we get a 2021 token set, what are some reprints you'd like to see?

1. Mithral Gauntlets
2. Shield of the Scholar
3. Footman set
4. Shark Tooth Armor
5. Mad Evoker's Charm
6. Cabal (with new additions to the set)
7. FoP Cat

Earcuff of orbits. It makes perfect sense. With the new platinum ion stone coming out it makes for a good combo.

Earcuff of Orbits for sure, it's currently very hard to find and is very desirable for pretty much every class without automatically being BiS (Arcane, Icecrag's and Energy come to mind). Although a valid point was raised on a previous thread about the Arcane set being extremely similar to Earcuff of Orbits and Charm Bracelet, so those may have filled the need for Ioun and Charm slot expanders for the time being.

With that said, I'd like to see more Charm slot expanders of some sort in the 2021 set - with Charms capped at ten there seems to be a clear intention to print more expanders, since at the moment the only way to break the cap (as far as I am aware) is to equip every single Charm expander in the game.

For other reprints....

+2 Flaming Short Bow - because Rogues could use a better ranged weapon to pair with Lenses of Agility which isn't Strength-based.

Any of the older UR relic transmute ingredients, if the recipes were also opened up again.

+2 Brawler's Horn - It's not very old, but it's pretty hard to find and is great for newer players.

Ioun Stone Sapphire Prism - It's just generally useful and can fit into a lot of builds.

I keep a list on my computer, but here are some off the top of my head.

I'd be surprised if we see Earcuff of Orbits this year. On the heels of the Arcane set and Orion's Belt, it just feels unlikely.

Brawler's Horn was a completion token. Pants of Retrieval sets a precedent that it's possible, but as you said...the horn isn't that old yet. I did see Starkhound had one or two for sale at a reasonable price for anyone who's on the hunt for one.

Flaming Short Bow sounds like a great idea. Especially to have it in print at the same time as Lenses of Agility.

Beryl Prism would be awesome. If we're going to bring back +1 Sling, Goggles of Seeking might be nice in the set as well.

Agree on not really needing extra ioun or charm expanders, but your could twist my arm for a charm necklace reprint, or a +3 ioun slot necklace as a new UR.

The +2 flaming short bow is a good suggestion. At the same time, it could easily be a +2 short bow of Frost, or a +2 short bow of lightning.

One of the following to use as the starting point for the Cleric Legendary path:

• Greater Holy Symbol of Pelor (2011)
• Figurine of Power: Phoenix (2013)
• +2 Sacred Sling (2014)

One of the following to use as the starting point for the Wizard Legendary path:

• +2 Staff of Power (2010)
• Gloves of the Cabal (2013)
• Ioun Stone Topaz Trilliant (2012)

One of the following to use as the starting point for the Fighter Legendary path:

• +2 Dread Sword (2008) - maybe with a bump to +3 or some other benefit?
• +2 Slayer Sword (2014)
• Charm of Final Repose (2012) - may be particularly timely for haunted house module

For each above list, I went from tokens that were more restrictive on class to those usable by more classes.

I like the googles of seeking suggestion but you can at least find those pretty easily. The +1 sling has been OOP for 11 years. It took me a couple of months to find one for the bard in my party. Alternatively, a reprint of the +1 hand crossbow would work as well.

One of the UR slings could be a good reprint, such as the +2 sling of impact. Again this might be a good place for a new token though - a +2 sling of seeking (add an additional +2 to hit: +4 total) would be nice for clerics with 10 Dex.

Hasn't every class legendary used a new token as its starting point?

Iktomi's > Shaman's Belt
Raphiel's > Shoes of the Sneak
Bog's > Bracers of Reckless Fury
Ralson's > Cloak of the Elm
Benrow's > Ring of the Drake

I'd rather see new tokens developed for the upcoming classes (that can also be utilized by at least +1 other class) with some of your suggestions sprinkled in sans the starting point.
