TOPIC: N3 Thursday 2:36 LFO

We have three tickets for this run and would love to find the other adventurers. Willing to be flexible with classes and difficulty, with a preference for:

1. Joey O’C: dwarf fighter
2. Boilerplate: wizard
3. Son of Boilerplate: rogue

This will be a great run! The first ever run for the son of Boilerplate! I'm very excited to see his reactions in every room.

Awesome! We should be able to manage NM. DF and Wizard are definitely geared for it. Rogue is pretty good too but could need some healing attention.

Joey and I come equipped with 2 Avarice, 2 Awakened Synergy, and 8 Synergy. How about you guys?

We have 3 Avarice and 2 Awakened Synergy. The Ranger doesnt like giving up his 3rd Charm slot for Synergy (we can harass him there).

We do have an extra CoGF for Son of Boilerplate (and gets us to 6)

If Son of Boilerplate needs either Rod of Persuasion or Libram of Looting we’ve got them for him - and I’m geared to Healing so will have no trouble keeping him healed up. This will be really cool to be on his first run - that excitement will be contagious I’m sure.

That’s awesome, Cary! Son of Boilerplate has lots of rogue box tokens (rod, Libram, thieves tools, and FoP Raven), so he should be good for puzzle rooms. (He’s 13 and I asked if he would take the loot or the clue from the rogue box. He said something like “loot, duh,” so I knew I had to get the libram. Ha!)

We will plan for him to use totem paint, so his starting HP should be 51, assuming 9 synergy. Glad you’ve got some heals. We will also bring tulz, canteens, and condensed healing. So probably in fine shape.

Super cool of you to lend the CoGF. Happy to let you do the two draws for him if you want. (Or take two of my draws.)

The draws are his. I have Charms of Treasure Boosting too depending on how many Charms he is wearing.

And you are right about the Libram - I got it after we needed a clue one year and the Rogue already snatched a treasure.... I should have expected nothing less lol.

I think the other 4 members got tickets after it opened to the public so we might have some newbies there too.

That’s nice of you for the draws. Joey’s wife will be lending him the two nuggets, so he will come out with lots of loot from his first run. (Which is to say - feel free to lend it to someone else if you prefer.)

We are cool with newbies, especially since (for me and Joey) this will be our third or fourth time running N3. I suspect you guys have seen it before too, right? Have decent gear to help every class except monk, if need be and the newbies want (without being pushy). Also fine if the new players want to do something closer to a sealed run. (With treasure enhancers, synergy, and rogue box tokens, of course!) The goal is maximum fun for all.

I’m in agreement. The Charms of Treasure Boosting work better with the Rare TE - so can get all the newbies at least 5 pulls. Greg might have an Amulet of TE but that’s his deal.

I usually have extra builds for newbies too - so we’ll see what they prefer.

And yes we’ve been through N3 a few times each - really love some of the rooms on this run - so we’ll let your son and the new players take the lead.

Joey and I worked on rogue build some. Dropped three ranged damage to gain 20+ HP. Should be in good shape at 71 HP. (For the kid’s first run, we decided the HP was more important than damage bonus - especially since we hope to teach him the thrill of flanking.)

71 HP - yeah there’s no chance he’s dying 😝

I’ve got some builds worked up for the new players on the App - everyone has at least 40 HP - so if they are new players we can let them know we have builds for them and just spend the set up time explaining how it works and letting them build a character with their packs and such but just use the stats from the Character Builder.

Now to see out of the newer players - who gets to try the Grenade and who gets to try the Hammer? Which one do you think your son would prefer?
