TOPIC: THANK YOU Origins Team!

From the bottom of our cold soulless hearts, The Blue Brotherhood would like to thank all the staff and volunteers who made 2019 Origins one of our favorites!

To all the set-up and tear-down volunteers for all your hard work assembling and disassembling, everything was tight.

To Mike and all the technicians for making such an immersive experience, the lights and the environments were impressive. (We look forward to even more additions at Gen Con that were nixed by the Fire Marshal.)

To all the coaches, you were efficient, patient, and thoughtful.

To all the DMs for your consistent performances and quick-thinking. In particular, Nick exemplified both of these qualities and he impresses me more at each event.

To all the monster performers and NPCs; you brought the dungeons to life with your individual spins on each of your characters making them engaging and memorable. In particular...

• Kelly raised the bar as our guide through the tomb by delivering her lines with authority and always staying in character...no matter how crazy we got.

• Sarah's swamp hag performance was so funny and memorable, I almost believed she was an old woman.

• And while our team made short work of Lamia, Jessa's quick-wit and improvisation made the encounter Boss-worthy and so much fun that we brought her back from the dead so we could continue the engagement.

To Laz, Mongo, and all the transmuters making sure we received everything we exchanged and doing it fast as lightning.

And especially Jeff and Lori for bringing the thunder and all of us together. We can't thank you enough for all the incredible friendships we've made through TD.

Snaps for this. Sarah was incredible! The backstage crew are rockstars. I thoroughly enjoyed the (inevitable) slaughter by the brotherhood. Thank you for the kind words and feedback; it’s always nice to know what we do right so we can do more of that stuff. I can’t wait to try and murder you all again. You all bleed too.

I second/third/fourth this - Eric you put it perfectly. Just seeing the improvements as the Con went on the hard work by all the volunteers really showed.

Honestly not much more to add to this as Eric has put it perfectly. Thank you so much to all of the volunteers that make it happen and the TD crew for all of their hard work. It was such a fun convention, and the dungeons were a blast!

A few more I missed...

Despite my repeated use of the bag check, I somehow forgot to compliment that team as well. They were always ready to let me swap my gear and always offered words of encouragement for the next adventure.

And of course big thanks to Steve and the other coordinators for keeping everyone on their toes. Your sublte tweaks to each room such as moving the sliding boards under the monsters and allowing NPCs to join in the fight were excellent.

I couldn't agree more. Well said! I thought the NPC's outdid themselves and I loved to see the evolution day after day. The boards in front of the monsters, the NPC encouraging participation i.e. "Sarah making everyone recite the necromantic spell (save Paladan and your truly, because Cleric) and the Sage joining in the fight against at the temple doors. These little details take the dungeon experience further. We ran with both new and experienced players and these details came up constantly as a motivator for people to come back. Can't wait to see what it will look/feel like at Gencon!

Eric made a great recap of the weekend. This was indeed one of the best ever. I'm always amazed at the great work on the props, the thought put into the puzzles, and just the overall great work everyone does to provide this immersive experience.

Agree- fantastic recap and shout outs. I also loved the DM who named the sea hag Brittany, inspiring a Spears-inspired medley after taking her down.

Origins was a fantastic experience all around. Yay volunteers!
