TOPIC: Non-TD events

Huzzah to event catalogue coming out today. So, other than True Dungeon stuff, what other sorts of awesome stuff is there to do that people plan on doing? So far, I mostly seem to do crafts, escape rooms and spend the rest of the time between vendors and board games library.

Waiting on vol schedule but my non TD event splurge tends to be brew bus event. Otherwise laziness kicks in and i rarely venture anywhere but TD area and my hotel room.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

I've enjoyed some of the entertainment events. Comedy cabaret is basically short preview sets from a bunch of musicians that have full length shows throughout the con. Good way to see it there is something you like enough to spend an hour or 2 at. Mikey Mason has some funny DnD based rock songs that sound considerably better live than recorded if you go looking for them online.

Brew bus is definitely worth it. The tickets go faster than TD tickets. Keep in mind 140 tickets vs 8000.

I usually pick out my entertainment events first and then plan out everything else - including True Dungeon - around them. Despite the fact that I go to Gen Con to see and play board games, I'll probably only have like two ticketed events where I actually play tabletop games - much prefer to browse the dealer hall for days on end.
