TOPIC: Hardcore

Hardcore 5 years 8 months ago #1

I have been playing now for about 5 years and have a group now that is interested in trying out hard core. I was just wondering what suggested stats I should have as I get gear for my group

Thanks

Probably the simplest way to look at it is to ask if your group feels comfortable with the end boss on normal. The monsters on hardcore tend to be in or about that level of difficulty.

I would just say make sure everyone knows Death is a real possibility.

I mostly agree with you there except I've seen people freak out about hardcore and be so over-geared by the time they tried it that it was a cakewalk.

The link given gives a good indicator for relative stats. I'd also agree that if you are ok with the final boss on normal, you are ready for hardcore. By ok, I'd say you win the combat in 3 rounds or less with a party of 5 or more.

One way to get a feel for it is to post one of the characters you've built here that is representative of the group.

If your group is full red (with maybe a few exalted or purps), and are reasonably good sliders, Hardcore should be doable.
