TOPIC: Housing lottery

I've read the info on the GC page, but wanted to verify to be safe:

As long as I've purchased my badge already, I'm good to go for a random Sunday assignment time, right?

Is there anything else that I have to have clicked out verified?

That should be enough assuming it is a 4 day badge. Your entry time should be calculated and visible Saturday if I remember correctly. Good luck.

Wouldn't a token that allows rerolling housing time be amazing.

I think all you have to do is buy a badge before midnight tonight (they might be on eastern time, not sure). Then you just have to wait for the random time you got assigned access to the housing portal on Sunday, and click the 'request room' button.

Getting rooms will be like fighting the giants in TD. Throwing everyone around mercilessly, all with the obnoxious running commentary.
An important change to note is they are now forcing a minimum/set number of days you must stay in the hotel/room. They are trying to do away with people flying in for a day or two stay in favor of the hard core masses that are there for the duration.

Timeslots have been assigned now. I got hella lucky this year (12:08).

Yes, slots start at noon. About 3:00pm is when rooms downtown run out of space - we had 3:12 last year and had to book a room out of block.

My recollection is that downtown rooms were gone long before 3 pm in the past. I'm happy to be wrong about that.

I truly wish GC hadnt changed their policies about switching rooms into others names. It would be nice to help out some people.
