TOPIC: TDA18139864 True Grind Thursday 7PM

Better late than never but I have 3 of the tickets for this run. Have mostly rare builds with a few URs and above so probably targeting normal.
Classes preferred for the 3 of us are
Druid>Barbarian
Ranger>Monk
Paladin> Fighter> Dwarf Fighter

It will be the Ranger's first Grind but has played the regular dungeons last year and wanted to try it out after hearing about how fun last year's grind was.

Hi! My friends and I have 5 tickets for this run. I hate to say it, but this will be our first run. We did splurge on tokens and have quite a few rare, but not many above that. We are super excited about this, but going above normal is probably suicide! I hope you all don’t hate us for being new to it, and if you have any suggestions or advice, please feel free to let us know. Since you all have more experience, as far as we are concerned, you can have your first choices.

Will be happy to have you. So is this your first time playing true dungeon at all or first time playing the Grind version. I ask because they usually prefer that people have played a regular dungeon before attempting the Grind version because it is slightly more difficult but it looks like you have done some preparing by already having purchased some tokens so you all may be ok either way. If you have played before the tips for grind would be to come prepared for basically anything compared to a regular run. If you have items that increase your saving throws I would definitely prioritize those since there are lots of deadly saves you run into in grind. I'd make sure you bring any consumable items you have such as potions, food and scrolls are there is lots of fighting in grind as its 7 rooms of combat instead of having any puzzles like the regular runs and it usually results in people running very low on resources and health towards the end. I have another run with a few more of my casual friends afterwards so I'll have some of my extra tokens as well so if you are able to I would try to show up early and I can try to help you you out a bit with some of your characters if needed and loan some of my extra tokens.

Thank you! Unfortunately, it is our first time playing at all. All 5 of us turn 40 this year and we’ve been talking about coming to gencon for years. We finally made it happen, and true dungeon was one of the things we really wanted to do. But, getting 5 spots in a dungeon, *any* dungeon, turned out to be a lot more difficult than we thought. We only managed to make it into 2. This one and a sealed dungeon on Saturday. Thank you for the advice. We will take a look at our tokens and see what we can come up with. How early should we be there? We were planning to be there a half hour early, but can probably get there sooner, if needed. We do appreciate the help!

Yeah half an hour should be plenty of time.
