Part time is absolutely still an option. However, I will say that it is harder to schedule part time volunteers, so there's never a guarantee that we can take you depending on what availability you put in your application and which event you're signing up for as a volunteer. Open availability with a set number of shifts you're willing to do (which you should notate in the Additional Information section of your application) makes it a whole lot easier for us to take a part time volunteer.

There's also the matter of event needs. We're not taking many (if any) part time volunteers for Origins or San Japan. It's a small crew for those shows, so the chances of having part time openings is a lot smaller. Gen Con, though, we can usually find something to schedule part timers to do. Except maybe for NPCs. We tend to take very few part time NPCs at any event just because we have so many great NPCs who regularly volunteer full time.

Gen Con is my volunteer interest. It is the only convention I currently attend.
