TOPIC: Charms of Transmorph worth $300 plus?

So I was unable to attend Origins this last weekend and I see these new Charms 1 through 10 of the transmorph. I'm hearing most people were not getting a lot of them on their treasure pullls. I'm curious as to what everybody thinks as to their worth? Should I wait till gencon or are they worth spending 300 plus dollars for new special unknown token or fun event?

I'd wait till GenCon myself, but it really depends on how much of a gamble you want to take for an unknown.

Yes I'm worried they'll go the way of the truecraft tokens, everybody will use them for the fun event and then no one will have any left for us collectors. It will be very hard to find them afterwards.

I would say they are worth over a thousand...but that could be because I am selling them

Depending on what they end up doing that is a very real possibility.

This may very well happen, if the wild speculation thread is any indication they will retain value though as people will use them and collectors will still want them. Gold backed is maybe worth more for collectors as they seem to have been rarer. I would wait till post GenCon personally as I suspect the people that have them and will not make it to origins or game hole con will be greater than those going still, and those without a full set will be looking to create a set, or off the parts. The price will be most real at that point, up or down.

I intend to use mine. If I have duplicates after GenCon I might sell them. But I'm thinking there will be a lot of them on the market after GenCon. Unless the effect is truly awesome. But I don't think that will be the case, just something fun.

Unless its more treasure. Treasure is certainly fun.

A set of ten just sold for slightly over $400 a few hours ago... above my budget unfortunately

Also the first set to sell though so take price with a grain of salt.
