TOPIC: Group TD Tickets Available at 1pm EDT FRIDAY!

URGENT ORIGINS TICKET UPDATE!

Tickets for True Dungeon events at Origins went on sale today, but an error occurred on the Origins website that did not allow one player to purchase more than one ticket in a given event slot of 10 tickets. A player was supposed to be able to buy out up to all 10 tickets.

The Fix

The event reg system for Origins Game Fair tickets is being temporarily shut down, and all purchased True Dungeon tickets will be refunded shortly.

At 1pm EDT on Friday, May 5th the Origins ticketing system will re-open and a special page will be available to purchase groups of more than one ticket in an event slot at one time.

More information will be published on Thursday, so stay tuned for more info.

Thanks for your patience! We are firmly committed to the Origins Game Fair, and we think we can have some amazing events there over the next few years. GAMA has been very helpful and encouraging, and they are an active partner in seeing TD grow and flourish at Origins.

So...hang in there...and wait until 1pm EDT on Friday when you can buy out full event slots of TD tickets if you wish. Thanks for your support and your patience.

Jeff, is there any chance of keeping the tickets instead of having them refunded? After doing battle with that system today, having to deal with it again this week (even in an improved state) is not something I want to do.

If my funds are back I am willing to tango with the beast again. I will not like but I will do it. If my funds are not back then I will not be getting tickets simple as that. But if I demand my badge return I better get full value because this f up is all on them.

Check your list, looks like already anyone with deeperdark already has it removed. I have charges and a total paid (including charges on my debit card) and nothing showing in my list.

I expect many people need to go over charges and find out what needs refunded/dealt with.

All my events are currently gone. TD event are no longer part of the system that I can find. No email from origins yet.

That is some bad customer service on thier part.

Origins sent me this email...

Origins Fans:

We understand this has been a frustrating day at registration for all of us. The problem is not bandwidth, as we have more than doubled it this year. There is a design issue that did not surface during testing that we need to resolve.

We're working very closely with the owner of our event management system to make sure all of the glitches are fixed as quickly as possible.

We can test and fix more quickly if the event system is off line, So we are closing registration until Friday at 1:00 pm

While the system is off, your carts will not be cleared out and you will not lose the events you have already selected!

We are extremely sorry that you have lost valuable time in your day and your attendee experience is our top priority.

Thank you for being patient as we work to fix the system.

I don't think so, but I don't have anything to do with the decisions Origins made or make. Sorry! Gen Con did this same thing many years ago when TD caused the whole system to crash. They erased everyone's carts and did "do-over".

I am very sorry for all the hassles today!

I think it was just poorly worded release. I think she meant all non-TD events.
