TOPIC: True Grind: The Cage on Fri at 08:00 PM

True Grind: The Cage on Fri at 08:00 PM 7 years 6 months ago #1

Hello, I have 5 of the tickets to this event, and I'm just looking for whoever has any of the remaining tickets so we can plan classes and difficulty beforehand.

Here's what classes look like:

Randy: Cleric
Randy 2: Monk
Randy 3: Elf Wizard
Randy 4: Fighter
Randy 5: Paladin
Graven: Dwarf Fighter
Rebeg: Wizard
Omnom: Bard
Omnom 2: Druid
OPEN (classes still open: Ranger, Rogue, Barbarian)

Looking like this will be a Hardcore run. Should be really fun for everyone!

I actually have one of the tickets. I usually do Wizard, but being that it's just me, I'll have all my sets so I can do any of the other classes except Monk or Dwarf Fighter..

Hard Core is fine with me.

Not a power collector, but I have some fairly good tokens to take to a fight.

Hey guys. My friend and I have the other two tickets. We aren't power collectors either, but we did get our rings of heroism this year, so we will be high level. We have a few purples and almost everything else as red.

He usually plays Druid.

I, on the other hand, might be harder to squeeze in. I usually main Bard hard. (Since having a quality Bard makes a decent group good and a good group great.) I got my windseth's a couple years ago and thinking about getting the drum this year. It looks like your group had generally the same idea. I wish there was a good way to share gear setups so we could decide which of our decked Bards would be the better choice. xD

Soooooo . . . I could probably squeeze something like Rogue or Ranger or Monk out of my Bard's set. But it wouldn't be anywhere near as good and you already have those called. With help in borrowing tokens, I could probably pull off any of those three. And if someone just has a set I could play just about anything (probably something that doesn't have spell checks if we go this route as I know the bard ones well but none of the others). But in my own collection, I can only really do Bard for Hard Core.

Thoughts?

Hi Guys, I'm on this run too :)

My pref is for Dwarf Fighter, but any melee class will do. I have a UR build, so I'm cool with what ever difficulty you guys want.

Looking forward to it

Glad to see that we've all found each other in such short order! Should make everything go very smoothly and make this be a great run. I'll update the top post with everybody's classes, and it seems as if everyone is okay with playing Hardcore.

Rebeg, you can certainly have Wizard if that's what you'd like to play. If you want to play a melee class this run, then I think a few are still open. Just let me know what you want.

Omnom, yes, we do try to always have a Bard along on our runs, as that's a class that is extremely useful for any party (but, oddly, not a lot of people main). If you get your second UR instrument this year, then you're more geared than our Bard. I talked to her and she's willing to play Paladin instead with some loaned gear. Let me know if that doesn't work for some reason.

Looking forward to this run now!

I can also go Paladin with loaned gear too if she'd rather. I mean, in grind having Windseth's is important, but anything else is honestly just icing. I will let her have final say on things since technically you did call Bard first. :) If she's fine playing Paladin than thank you and let's go with that. But if she really has her heart set on Bard, I will be flexible and we'll all still have a grand old time.

I think the setup I listed in the top post will work just fine for us. Our bard said that she's fine playing pally.

And like I said, if you have both Widseth's and Briano's, you're really the better choice for Bard anyways.

Randy, your friend doing the Thief, it's fine if he/she really wants do to that class. But we could switch that one to a regular fighter. If your group doesn't have a good fighter setup, Mine has a +3 Slayer sword with a girdle of Frost Giant.

Base stats are Att 12 Dam 9 Ac 28. Currently 4th level.

I'm happy with wizard, 5th level with a ring of Spell Storing.

Just to let everyone know I will be releasing my ticket for this event. I had something come up which I will need to do Friday night and there is just no way to do both.

I am going to hold the ticket until 1 PM EST so I hope someone on the forums can get it.
