TOPIC: Anybody have space for a new player with two kids?

Anybody have space for a new player with two kids? 7 years 7 months ago #1

I'm getting responses for my newbie run at TD and one of the respondents has two daughters who are avid D&D players, aged 10 and 13. I believe the 10 year old is technically too young, and I have a mix of people I don't know, so I'm going to say no to him.

But if there was somebody on here planning on buying out a run and bringing their own children perhaps you'd be interested in having him and his two daughters join you. If so please let me know and I'll connect you up.

I don't blame your hesitancy. But, these young ladies right now are the ages of my step-daughters. Although, my youngest is 11.

They asked me to teach them 1st Edition D&D over 2 years ago. They understood THAC0 better than most veteran players and totally understood the 'r' in RPG means roleplaying and played better than most I've played with.

When I ran them through Dungeonland and they roleplayed their way through the entire module I wanted to weep tears of joy.

If I was still with them and my wife, I would have no problem with taking them through TD and knowing they would solve more of the puzzles than me and slide more 20s than their Mom.
