TOPIC: Though Not Gen Con Registered for WYC 2016

Reg opened up today for Who's Yer Con.

And does it bug anyone else that the name of this subform is 2016 GenCon Indy instead of 2016 Gen Con Indy?

I just registered too.

Does anybody know if the paid memberships are worth it?

I have been doing the 25 for a few years. It gets you a T-Shirt and a couple lesser games. I believe some forum members did the High Roller last year so I will let them vouch for if it worth the $100 or not.

I've gone to WYC last couple times and did the $25 option and was pleased with the bag of swag I got. I felt like I got my $ worth and more than just randomly spending $25. Last time we got a pack of tokens

Just registered also, getting the $100 option. You get LOTS of swag plus a free hors d'oeuvres reception, last year with free wine/beer - dunno if that will continue. We really enjoy this little con and want to support it when we can.

Oh, and that free token pack that Valetutto mentioned? Last year George got his GT in it! (YMMV)...

George went crazy when he got that GT, lol. I have paid for the the badge each year, and it is totally worth the price. This year, you will be able to get your badge Thursday night, if you are a paying member.

I thought they were somewhat random. I did not get anything that I have played but I remember one game was Cthulhu Rising.

You also get some raffle tickets for games. EDIT or at least you did that last 2 years.

Its not always going to be a game you've heard of. At least that was the case for me. But its fun to get some random stuff. Games aren't cheap, even crappy ones still cost so I'm always surprised they can get such good stuff in the bags. It really harkens back to the olden days of GenCon when you could get nice swag in the bags and demo-ing stuff on the floors. Remember the big D20 at the WotC booth?... sigh

The raffle is good too, never know when you might get lucky.

Registered! I did the $25 option. If the $100 swag is really cool I'll upgrade there... if I can.

I got 'Crap or Slap' and 'Zombies!!!' last year. May have been a third game as well. The year before I got three games, but they have been thoroughly mixed into my game closet, lol.
