Auction rules:

In order for the auction to be successful, the grand total of all bids above the minimums must meet or exceed $8,000. If the auction fails to meet the minimum by the deadline, I may choose to go extend bidding (possibly with augmentation), fund at the lower amount or end the auction, or cancel the auction entirely.

BIDS & BUYS:
- Bids are sent to me via PM (forum PM, no Discord messages please)
- Bid increment on items less than $100: $1.00
- Bid increment on items greater than or equal to $100: $5.00
- You can "Buy It Out!" by simply requesting it; funds are collected when the auction is full and complete, not before. Using "Buy it Out!" removes that item from any additional bidding eligibility, and overrides any current winning bids.
- In the event that multiple bidders all bid the same highest amount, the earliest bid will win it.
- if your final total when the auction funds is over $1,000, I'll buy you a dozen cookies from Burke's Bakery ( www.burkesbakeryky.com/shop )
- you can bid on specific items or an entire group (see "EXAMPLE BIDS", below)

This auction style rewards early bidding, as you win ties and people must raise the bid by at least the bid increment to take it from you. Since the price is set by the 2nd highest bidder, you may enter your top bid initially and never overpay. However, until someone uses the "Buy It Out!" option, anyone can do so! No item is safe unless "Buy It Out!" is used.

If funding is achieved before the deadline, the auction will end when the sum total of bids and "Buy It Out!" actions meet or exceed the funding threshold. For example, if the auction is at $7,998 of the targeted $8,000 and you raise the bids on two items by $5 each, only the first item's bid will be counted as this meets or exceeds the auction target. So! Put your most desired items at the top of your list!

Again, to stress: ONCE THE FUNDING AMOUNT IS MET, THE AUCTION CLOSES. This means that other messages in the queue and even other lines in your message may get ignored!

Any last-minute changes in high bidders will not extend the auction.

SAMPLE BIDS:

(in this case, I'd only enter your bids on Ultra Rares #s 1 & 10)

or:

(in this case, I'd start with Ultra Rare #1 and enter your desired max bid until you've got winning bids on at least 2 of them; if you go through every Ultra Rare without a winning bid at $55 I'd let you know that you raised current bids but aren't winning any)

or:
"I'd like to bid $55 on two Ultra Rares"

(in this case, I would randomly determine - via Google's dice roller - which Ultra Rares your bid goes on; if you wanted two 'of the lowest price Ultra Rares', I'd randomly determine from just those lowest price ones. I want to help you place bids, but I'd like to stress that I'm doing my best to remain as neutral as possible!)

END DATE:
This auction will run through midnight EST (9pm PST) on Monday, December 1st. If we fund sooner than that, the auction will close immediately and invoicing will commence! This allows for my family vacation time and also for True Dungeon to ship our goods before Gen Con.

DISCLOSURES:
What am I keeping? Just the Patron Pin & code this time around. But! I've added a D&D slot to offset the cost of the item. I've also put a few initial bids on a few items - listed prior to making the auction public - but will not be bidding after this opens to the public. When the auction funds, if an item has no bids at all despite the auction funding, I will keep that item.

And, finally, the challenge:

If everything that I've placed initial bids on (under the name "Razorplate") are viciously and unceremoniously yanked away using "Buy It Out!", I have some special add-ons that will be combined into this auction. Maybe they're tokens. Maybe they're tootsie rolls. Maybe they're copies of the medical xrays from when my left arm was replaced with Totally Functional Non-Skynet parts (TM). WE'LL FIND OUT, WON'T WE?!

Today's bidders have all been entered! We're pushing close to 50% and several key things have already been picked up via Buy It Out! As for usernames, well, my wife and I have been playing Diablo IV again so I'm using the unique equipment names this time around.

Now, for the D&D game... I mean, if you want a special session or even a full weekend of gameplay, I'm down. I know that several of us in the forums/on Discord have piles of frequent flier miles and hotel points, so that would certainly knock your travel budgets down And systems? The sky's the limit! I've run thousands of tables of D&D 2, 3.x, 4, and 5, not to mention Pathfinder 1. Add in a ton of other systems (not just systems that use d20 as a base, but things like the Iron Kingdoms in 2d6/FMF, Necroscope, and more!) and honestly, if you need a system run, I can almost certainly do it.

So could a TD DM win and then have you cover as a virtual DM some VTD weekend?

Then they just watch you cover their shift while they collect all the volunteer swag?

I won Alan’s previous offering for DM time and played at his tables at GHC, and can vouch for him being a fantastic DM. I threw him a couple of curveballs with the material I requested and he took it in stride. He did excellent prep for the game and handled when we were coloring outside the lines for the adventure. We had a blast the whole time.

So put some bids on! A 6 hour session is three whole TD runs!

I mean, the intent here is for me to run a game FOR their group but I suppose this could be worked out. If the TD staff were on-board with it... it's an interesting proposition. Our TD DMs work super hard so I'm willing to be flexible!

We've seen some pretty amazing action on a lot of the key items, but URs and some of the TGs are still pretty low. Plus, the props and the D&D session haven't seen much activity yet...
