Hello all! It's time for our 2026 season auction benefitting Mary's Hands!

With farm orders for seeds and amendments moving earlier and earlier, I'm moving the auction to be just before our seed and amendment orders (we're hoping to place the orders Nov 15th for our 2026 season.)

Our new auction starts at noon MST October 26th and runs to noon mst on November 14th. I'm still working on a theme for monikers and am open to ideas!

Ebay style bidding. Bidding up to $10 is in 25 cent increments, $1 increments from $10-$100, then $5 increments above $100. Shipping is $9.

First, an overview of what you’ll be helping…

Mary's Hands is a 501c3 Non-profit (non religious - Mary's Hands is named after my late mother) founded by my wife Isabelle and myself. It was named after my mother who tirelessly volunteered and helped others her whole life. We are fortunate enough to have land we can farm and built a program to grow food for who need it the most locally. The critical part of what we do is in delivering the food to affordable housing communities directly and helping them set up mercado-style markets where residents can come by and pick up whatever produce they need in a friendly and supportive environment. We grow what these communities are telling us they can't afford but would love to have. It's humbling to see people who can't afford high quality organic produce get restaurant-grade produce rather than cast-offs or seconds. You can find more information about our work at Mary's Hands

Although our 2025 season isn't done yet, it will definitely be a record for total volume and value of produce provided to low income communities. Last year, we did $20,000 worth of produce - this year will be at least 50% higher, maybe as much as 100% higher.

As you know, produce prices have increased sharply (more than 50% in 2025) and government programs assisting low income families have been greatly reduced. These communities are working families or elders that are hard pressed to make rent and basic costs - good quality food is well beyond their means. We're able to help and do it in a way that respects their dignity with the free mercado concept.

We have our tunnels set up to try and extend the growing season so we might be providing produce well into October and maybe November so we likely won't have final 2025 figures until December sometime.

Bidding will be ebay style with the winning bids paying through our donation portal for Mary's Hands. All winning bids are tax deductible as a donation to our 501C(3) non profit Mary's Hands!
