Greetings all! Welcome to Fred’s annual pre-order $8K auction!
The auction will end either when $8,000 $7,500 (effective 10/16)is funded or fails to find by Noon EST 11/1/2023. I may add additional add-ons to speed it up depending on how quickly it goes.
There are some nice add-ons included to help fund this auction and to off-set items I’m claiming.
I will be including add-ons of: Greater Charm Bracelets, Greater Bead of Whispers, Ring of the 5th Circle (2), Ring of the 4th Circle (2), Amulet of Treasure Finding, FoP Phoenix (2023 printing), Arcane Charm, Lenses of Flawsight, Ioun Stone Kyanite Cube, and a Ring of Havok. I used Trent and Kirk’s sites for value on the add-ons (whichever was lower). They have an estimated value of $1,890. I will also be supplementing the trade goods with extras from my own collection for another $1,000 in additional value (using Marc D’s analysis of trade good values from the most recent 5 auctions.)
I will also be auctioning off 4 of the random URs differently than how it has been done before. Out of the 8 or 9 random URs, I’ll let the high bidder for the randoms pick their choice out of the 8 or 9 randoms then the 2nd highest bidder selects on through the 4th person. The thought being at least half of the URs should be highly desirable, but it is up to chance what those will be.
I am claiming the Path token, 4 of the rings, and the patron code. Using Marc D's analysis of the value of these for the most recent 5 auctions (thank you again – a great resource), that works out to $1716 in value. I am offsetting this by adding $2890 in additional items in the auction plus 4 of the URs.
How bidding works:
Bids should be sent to me via PM
They are done “ebay style” where your max bid is recorded by me but the actual bid is the lowest of the winning bids (ie an item has two bidders, one bids $20 and one bids $25, would result in that item having a bid of $21 winning from the individual with a $25 max bid.) In cases where you bid on multiples of the same item (such as with trade goods) – your lowest winning bid on each item is assigned (ie you bid on 10 Mystic silk and win for $1.50 on 5 and $1.25 on the other 5 if you had to beat someone else’s bid of $1.25 on only 5 of the 10.)
Bid increments on items less than $10: $0.25
Bids on $10-$99: $1 increment
$100+: $5 increments (yes – a bid can be $100, the $5 bit doesn’t apply until numbers exceed $100.)
Once your bid is received, I will send you a PM confirming it with your themed moniker and what you items you have bid upon.
The monikers this year will be Kingkiller Chronicle (Rothfuss) characters!
Other rules:
If multiple bidders bid the same amount, the earliest bids win.
This auction will end as soon as $8K is hit or Noon EST 11/1/2023, whichever comes first.
Payment is required through PayPal via friends and family. All winning bids will have 72 hours after the close of auction to provide payment and select PYPs. If someone doesn’t respond in the 72 hours, I reserve the right to move to the next highest bidder or buy the item myself at their bid amount.
Shipping (domestic): (USPS Priority Mail)
1-50 Tokens = $10
More than 50 Tokens = actual cost (but will be USPS priority boxes so shouldn’t exceed $20 unless someone wins enough tokens to fill multiple large priority boxes.
Winners: I will assume you want your trade goods in 10x’s where possible. Please let me know if that is not the case when you are informed of your winnings.
