TOPIC: True Dungeon History - Prototype Token Auction

True Dungeon History - Prototype Token Auction 3 years 6 months ago #1

In 2007 Jeff had decided that wooden TD token were too easy to counterfeit. So for everyone's protection he started looking into making a plastic token. He made some prototypes. I am aware of 4 different types prototype tokens (4 Steel flasks, a couple of half plate armors, a Ring of regeneration and a wondrous elixir of Life)

A couple of years later he put these prototypes up for auction. I had been doing a lot of trading for gold that year and purchased them in the auction.

I am cleaning out my memorabilia. I have already sold off everything but the last Steel Flask.

So this Auction is for the last steel flask.

This will be a slow auction, when someone bids, I post the amount of the bid and time it was placed. If there is no bid 24 hours after the last bid is placed, the auction will end.

I will not identify any bidders and I will not identify the winner.

Final Bid : $350.00. This auction is closed.
PM me with your bid. Please raise the previous bid by at least $5.00.

That is very cool! I find it interesting that it has a year on it; after Jeff decided on the current style of plastic tokens, they did not contain the year till more recently. I wonder why it wasn't originally included, when it seems he at least thought about it back during the prototypes.

Guess what I just found. Apparently I forgot where I put one of the steel flasks. (it was inside the "Tinder Box")

So it is auction time again.

Minimum bid $350.00. Auction ends when 48 hours has elapsed without a bid.

George, would you be better off posting this auction in the auctions thread? There may be people that aren't aware that you started a new auction on an old thread in "True Dungeon History".
