I wanted to share something a little more personal than my usual token listings.

The Trevor Project
, the leading organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention support for LGBTQ+ youth.
There are two reasons this matters to me right now.
The first is Pride Month, a time to celebrate, but also a time to remember that for a lot of young people in the queer community, life is genuinely hard and support systems matter enormously.
The second is personal. Someone close to me, someone I love deeply, is part of the queer community and has had a really difficult year. I've watched firsthand how much the existence of organizations like The Trevor Project means to struggling youth and their families. These aren't abstract statistics. These are real kids.
Which brings me to something I feel I have to say plainly:
the recent reductions in federal funding for LGBTQ+ youth support services are, in my view, morally indefensible. Pulling the safety net out from under the most vulnerable young people, kids who are already fighting hard just to feel okay, is wrong. Full stop. This hits home for me in ways I won't fully detail here, but trust me when I say it does.
