TOPIC: DEX Volunteer Charms Confirmed

This might be old news, but I didn't see an announcement:

Quicksilver and Greater Quicksilver Charms for 2019 Volunteer tokens (+1 and +2 DEX respectively) have been added to TokenDB:

This wasn't unexpected given the historical volunteer tokens. I doubt that any high-end build will be able to fit these in though. The STR ones were good, DEX, not so much unfortunately.

Anyway is can be changed to a Ion Stone. There is a bit more room there.

As for "high end" builds, it really depends on what you want to be. A ranged Ranger could fit one of these in, assuming they had charm bracelets or charm necklace.

I still wish we could break the str/dex/con pattern. It was exciting at first but now its just a little meh. Something like +focus, + treasure, psychic powers, a levelup item, would (IMO at least) be more interesting at this point.

I suspect we are locked in for this cycle. And there are a fair number of new volunteers at new Cons that don't have the stat based items.

But I'm with you after this cycle completes in 2020.

I'm still waiting for all the Volunteer Ioun Stones be transmutable into 1 Ioun Stone that grants all the +1 benefits of them all.

Transmute volunteer tokens would do odd things to the aftermarket values with collectors.

Plus level tokens would be cool, maybe a ring for basic volunteers and an ioun stone or a spotless level for full time?

The only problem i have with the charms is the fact the charm slot is so full right now.

A lot of us are using CoA, CoS or CoAS.
That only leaves 1 charm slot open and many people already have something else better in that slot then the volunteer charms.

I’m personally using charm of enlightenment as my 3rd charm and even though it’s a rare, it’s better then any of the volunteer charms in my opinion (and will be even stronger with wisdom based bead slot)

Charm bracelet gives 2 extra slots, but is it better than Bracers of Fast Fitness

Charm necklace give 3 extra, but there is Amulet of Champions, Stu-pendous Pendant, and medallion of Valhalla to choose between as options.

So unless you are using the Charming set, I don't see why any major advantage to using them.

If you are a volunteer that gets most of your tokens by volunteering then yes they are great, and maybe that’s the target audience. Or maybe I am under estimating the number of Charming sets being used.
