TOPIC: True Dungeon 2015 pics?

True Dungeon 2015 pics? 9 years 3 months ago #1

I just got my film developed from Gen Con this year, only to find that over half did not come out, including all of the True Dungeon pics I took after it was over. (As a DM, I like to get a memento of the room I ran. This year it was the Carrion Crawler) I was wondering if anyone had pics that came out of the allowed locations or staff pics of the internals. I really wanted to show my friends that Carrion Crawler and I'd hate to think that there were no pictures.

On the good side though, I only had to stop one group from snapping a pic over the weekend, so it looks like players were following the rules. This is why I asked about staff pics. I can't condone sneaking pics during the event. After is cool, so we don't spoil the surprise for others.

I think Harlax took a lot of high-quality photos of both dungeons (permitted by Jeff). Might check with him.

Nope. Not me.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Graven! It was Graven who was taking pictures. Sorry to call you out Harlax, not sure why I got you two mixed up.

I thought you might be talking about me.... Harlax and I both play dwarf fighters.

I'll see what I can do.

I was lucky enough to be allowed to take photos this year. I defiantly have a shot of your Carrion Crawler. Actually, based on your avatar pic i believe you were the DM when I went through guided by Stuart.

Out of curiosity, how did you get approval to take photos? I know Fritz has permission since she's the official True Dungeon photographer, but I'm curious others managed to get permission.

Cool. I would love to get any pics you might have. I know they get photos of everything each year, and I saw the video walk throughs (which I got to see myself in, pretty cool), yet I don't recall any cameras this year.

I also wonder if there was a difference in the lighting. Everything looked the same, but neither the Carrion Crawler, or the entry way spiders came out. Normally i don't have this problem. (then again, it was likely just a crappy disposable camera)

Also, as far as permission, I always try to ask first thing about taking a pic of the room after it's over. I am glad that there are some who are allowed to do this during the con. Kind of nice seeing the room in action. (also nice to know there are those trusted enough by Jeff, Stu and company to do this without fear of it leaking early.)
