TOPIC: Big Thank You

Big Thank You 9 years 4 months ago #1

Just a quick note to say a big THANK YOU for not having latex in this years dungeon. It was a huge problem for me last year since I am allergic to latex and could not participate in 2 of the rooms.

My feedback is they should have asked players if any were arachnophobic.

Two of my runs had girls who had major issues especially when the DM tried to put a spider around their neck.

They asked about nut allergies this year as I recall, Though i'm not sure where that applied in the runs I did. I made an off hand remark in the set up room about arachnophobia, and the lady running the show there did get serious and ask me if it would be an issue. I told her it was fine, though reading reports I'm glad I skipped Sable Combat.

In response to Ed, to be fair there was a big spider in the walk up to registration, as well as spiders in the iconography for this year. It should have been fairly obvious we were going to have to deal with spiders, so we should be prepared.
~Meta: Don't worry, it is perfectly "safe" to follow the drunken dwarf into the dungeon!

On the Sable Gauntlet side, the crunchy bits in the hallway before the grubs/spiders room were crushed walnut shells. Neat effect, but yeah, allergies. Plus they were very slippery underfoot.
