We have five veteran players, one second time player and four first timers. At least six will be boosted to 5th level.

Classes locked in at this point are Cleric, Druid, Dwarf Fighter Ranger and Fighter. All are Nightmare capable, but we won't subject first timers to that. Maybe Hardcore, maybe Normal.

Here is our line up

John (Harlax) Dwarf Fighter
Matthew (Aenllan). Druid
Matt TBD
Grant TBD
Adam TBD
Dan TBD
Chris. TBD
David Fighter
Kelly Cleric
Jedibcg Ranger

We will have barbarian and wizard (with MEC) at 5th level. Paladin at 4th. Probably Bard at 4th or 5th depending on what David might have to loan. Undecided at this point on the final class. Maybe Monk, maybe rogue. Either would be 4th level.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

I might be able to supply you with a "good" Rogue. I currently have a HC build (mostly rares with a couple purples)

For treasure I have only my own Amulet of Treasure Finding.

Harlax, both Kelly and I will be boosted and I should have tokens to boost one other if needed.

I have hired jedibcg as a mercenary. I have a CoA and a CoSynergy My group will take 6 of the 7 CoAs. The other CoA can go to either Kelly or David. It will be nice to have the full complement of charms of synergy and charms of avarice or charms of good fortune.

Best build is a Druid but I am not a good Druid. I have 1 Eldritch set and 2 Lenses of Divine. If the Elditch set is unneeded then my Ranger is next best and the Barbarian.

Let's say ranger then.

If you can get your ranger to level 5 with out the eldritch set would you consider loaning it on paper to Kelly. And the lenses? Then we would have two healers with the bonus and lenses.

For the five others I'm thinking we will wind up with a paladin, wizard (boosted to 5th, with mad evokers charm), barbarian, and bard.

Undecided on the last class. I know I could kit out a decent red monk. A rogue could be handy, but I don't know whether a first timer would enjoy the rogue box.

We will clearly be capable of doing hardcore. My only caution is I want our newbies not to feel they are just along for the ride. I'll have solid red builds for them with dashes of purple, so they should be able to contribute.

Are you doing a party card? If so I can send you the ranger build. If not no biggie, I will need it just in case one of my group places in place of me.
