They definitely *used to* go later. I remember being on runs staring at 11:37pm... but it's been pointed out to me that last year was shorter hours, too.

Although I miss those late-night runs, it's apparently really rough on volunteers. No one wants a shift which ends at 2am.

Mike Steele wrote: Is True Dungeon running the same hours as last year? I'd thought they went later into the night than they do now, but I could be mis-remembering that. :)

It was like that last year.

Last year, I specifically remember that runs stopped at 11 PM.

Two years ago, they stopped at 12 AM. I remember because Raven and I caught a late night run then (and Raven has been assistant DM'ing for Grind since two years ago). also stopped at 11 PM.

2011 was the last time they had runs until 12 AM.

My first year volunteering I was on XP desk and I had a shift that ended at 1:36 am. Yes, that was rough.

As a Volunteer, I am disappointed the hours don't go later.

Full-time volunteers work so much it is hard enough finding enough time in your schedule one can actually fit in a two-hour run, so every little bit of space (including the 11 PM - 12 AM period) was welcomed!

As both a Volunteer and customer I wish TD went 24 hours. That way I could work as a full-time midnighters for TD and have tons of free time to be a customer of TD and have time for the Dealer Hall and hanging with my non-TD friends at GenCon and playing/sampling other games.

My motto at GenCon has always been: "I'll sleep when I'm dead." B)

Seriously, if I get more than 4 hours of sleep every night at GenCon I feel like I'm wasting my GenCon time.

The run times are exactly the same as the last 2 years, I have a spreadsheet I use to help keep track of the runs as they sell and it's been set up the same way since the 4 dungeon format started in Hall B. I think the year before (Hall D) the run start times did go till midnight.

Basically, on Thurs-Sat, there are 70 "slots" open starting at 9am and ending at 10:48 (So the runs actually end somewhere around 1am). 9 of these are for volunteer breaks, so no runs start at 11:00, 11:12, 1:12, 1:24, 3:36, 5:48, 6:00, 8:24, 8:36. Allowing volunteers a break at some point in there based on when players are moving through. So each Dungeon has 61 available slots each day, and 19 on Sunday. Each dungeon has 202 available slots for the weekend.

As for sleep unfortunately I have to get some or I end up not having a good time at least 5 hours a night. It's rough getting old.

David is correct.

I checked my records.

In 2012 the last runs were at 11 PM. At the time, Raven and I managed to catch a last minute 10:48 PM run right after the shift but that was back when Grind was only 1 hour long (so the final 10 PM Grind ended at 11 PM). That is what I am probably misremembering.

However, in 2011 my GenCon purchase records do show Dragon's Redoubt available at 11:50 PM on a Thursday.
