This is not completely finalized yet but I wanted to post my ideas and get some feedback before finalizing anything.
Since this year introduces Psychic Powers (with the Ioun Stone Amethyst Ovoid and the 1st Tooth of Cadaver) I was thinking that it might be interesting to allow players to experiment with psionics to see how balanced (or unbalanced) they are.
So what I propose for Who's Yer Con Grind:
[Eldritch Runestone]
Either unlocks your Psychic Potential or, if Psychic Potential is already unlocked (such as through the Ioun Stone - Amethyst Ovoid or the Amulet of Wonder) then increase your Power Tier by 3 (up to a maximum of 7).
[Amulet of Wonder]
Two effects:
1. Same benefit of the Eldritch Runestone (but stacks with it):
Either unlocks your Psychic Potential or, if Psychic Potential is already unlocked (such as through the Ioun Stone - Amethyst Ovoid or Eldritch Runestone) then increase your Power Tier by 3 (up to a maximum of 7).
2. Whenever you use a Psychic Power, one other target may gain the same benefit/effect.
For Mind Shield, Energy Adjustment, and Energy Control, the second target must require the benefit during the same round. So another player who fails a Will save or takes energy damage from a different monster's attack can only benefit if it happens during the same round that the psychic player used the psychic power.
For Energy Adjustment and Energy Control, the second target can be taking damage of a different type (but must be during the same round).
So if a player has an Ioun Stone Amethyst Ovoid (unlocks Psychic Potential), 1st Tooth of the Cadaver (+1 Power Tier), Eldritch Runestone (+3 Power Tier), and Amulet of Wonder (+3 Power Tier) then once during the entire Grind, the player may use any one Psychic Power (from Tier 0 through Tier 7) and one other target may gain the same benefit.
[UR Special]
The player's psychic powers are enhanced to unheard of levels.
During the Grind, the player who uses a UR Special gains an additional use of each psychic power, of each Power tier 0th through 7th. (This overrides the normal "one Psychic Power per player per adventure" limit).
If the player is equipped with an Amulet of Wonder, then each of these additional uses may also include a second target.
So if a player has an Ioun Stone Amethyst Ovoid (unlocks Psychic Potential), 1st Tooth of the Cadaver (+1 Power Tier), and uses a UR Special, then once during the adventure s/he may use either Cell Repair OR Adjust Mass as his/her normal Psychic Power use. But then s/he also has an additional use of Cell Repair, Adjust Mass, Control Mass, ESP, Planar Vision, Mind Shield, Energy Adjustment, and Energy Control from the use of the UR Special.
