Favorite moment of my one (of two) Gen Con runs this year...

Causing a monster to exclaim "WHAT?" when I hit for 61 points of damage. The look between both the DM of the room and the monster was priceless.

Eagerly looking forward to my Sunday run...and wishing I could justify more. Thanks again, TD...and the group I was running with at the time.

Drawing aggro off the barbarian using my mandolin. "You're annoying me Bard."

Running in the first Grind this year.......getting copied by the doppelganger only for Raven to realize it couldn't hit me. Finally getting to clear that table and ending up successfully killing myself.

That was Awesome! Thanks for taking on for the team!

Watching our Druid grin from ear to ear after hitting the construct and doing 120 points of damage.

Our band new, first timer, wizard running Hard Core with our party at the end of the dungeon and exclaiming, "That was Awesome! "

The entire double-down Viper Nightmare run I did with Widseth, Raven, Kim, and Kent was Awesomesauce! Favorite moment was helping an inexperienced player play an elf wizard - I failed to keep him from picking up a duck in the dungeon, though!

Least fave moment - being so exhausted I failed a plane check! I'm so ashamed!

Loved doing 59 points of damage in one round - thank you, MEC + Greater RoF + Cabal set!

Two favorites...

One, when my elder son (on his first ever dungeon run) slid a 20 and excitedly ran over to tell me what had happened.

Two, when my younger son (who is too young to do a run) "stole" 30 Gold in the Rogue's Game (thanks, Raven ) and was so thrilled because it was the last thing he needed to make some Boots of the Marauder.

How about 144 points of damage in two rounds for my wizard! Thanks, lightning storm + Mad Evoker's Charm + Cabal set + Burning hands + Greater Ring of Focus + a cleric with Restore Spell!

Seeing some of my TD friends again, and making some new ones.

Assistant DM'ing True Grind. (How does Incognito survive the weekend?)

Looking at that snake for a few moments and realizing I needed to shut my mouth and slide.

Getting my first UR in the coaching room. (I was starting to think they were a myth.)

This is only peripherally related to TD: Shelly going to the auction while I was "grinding" and surprising me with a set of Dungeon Tac cards from Judges Guild, in the original plastic. It wasn't that I had what I consider the "holy grail" of JG collectors, but that she knew I'd want it and refused to lose them for me, even though she had no idea what it was or what they were really worth (she got a great deal, btw). Best wife ever

So hard to pick just one favorite moment, but here are several that I loved:

- Seeing the huge boss rise up from the pit at the end of Viper Combat. Right when our party thought perhaps we had defeated a not-too-difficult boss, the real threat was revealed! Having already used my big level 3 spell, I immediately cried out to my cleric in the party: Restore Spell! Restore Spell!

- Every time I got to use my Mad Evoker's Charm (which was almost every turn). I loved using this new token, and became quite obsessed with the thing! The look DMs gave me when they saw how much damage my spells did practically all of the time was great.

- Bringing my cosplay friends though the dungeon complete in our Gotham garb. They were all completely new to TD, but loved it before we were through. It made me happy to crash two worlds together: Gotham city and the TD fantasy setting.

- My 5-man run on Sunday through Viper Combat, where we all role-played that we were actually there to join the Snake Cult instead of defeating it. In each room we cried out our allegiance to Vipron and did our best to prove our worth on the "tests" he had us face.

- The sand puzzle. It was a great affect, just the right kind of difficulty in a TD puzzle, and it made the blood mage part of me happy.
