TOPIC: VIG TD Group.

Hello. Names Bill. I've been a VIG badge member since 2008. I got into TD about 3 years ago thanks to a friend. First year I ran 2 runs, last year ran 3. This year I'm thinking 4-6. I have a fighter, which I've put alittle extra into for this years runs. ( I'll post my gear later. But I have a full templar set, and +2 dredd sword.)
Last year I ran all normal runs and this year I Want to run at least 1 nightmare if not 2.

I also ran the VIG only TD last year and I am thinking of doing another VIG only this year. As Gencon gets closer, I'd like to connect with some of the players that might want to share the run.
My friend Pat has a Ranger which he's been working on for years. His epic gear is top tear. So anyone interested in a group that has 1 Ranger and at least 1 Fighter let me know. Maybe we can work out a run together. (I'd pick Human fighter over Dwarf fighter but I'm flexible.)

##. Arthur- VIG? I'm not sure Arthur if you can be apart of the run if you are not in the VIG program. I don't think you can buy the ticket for the run with not the VIG badge, but I'm not 100% sure about.

Warning:
This group is not writen in Blood. While being put together in good faith. Everyone should understand things like this are subject to change. (WHo Knows if there will even be a VIG Runs this year.) Times aren't even set. This is just to see if we have enough people willing to get together and try out a Run. No one should have any bad feelings if someone needs or wants to back out for any reason.

We'll know more as times and days are posted.
So feel free to take a slot now. If need be, we can just break up the group into two diffrent Runs, if we get to many people.

What is the VIG True Dungeon?

Since I don't know how our schedule is going to play out, I'll go ahead and claim the other fighter and Druid.

My SO and I did the ViG run last year, and it was the best pick up group ever!

Edit: We only do the Combat Run, not the puzzle run. Just clarifying for others interested.

Last year I created a post with all the slots to try to find everyone, sadly very few people were around either the ViG forums or this site.

Last year True Dungeon ran ViG only runs of True Dungeon. It was a blast.

Hi - I'm Raven. I'm a new VIG as of this year. I enjoy running the dungeon with new & different people. My schedule tends to be very busy tho and I already have several dungeon runs planned. I don't know if I want to throw my hat into this arena, or save the space for someone else who who be more likely to want/need the run.

Well you must know how fast TD slots can fill up. Well not all of the VIG slots filled up until very late last year, and that's because only VIGs could buy them. Which was a benefit for me because I had a last minute add on to my group going to Gencon. With nothing really planned for the weekend, I was able to buy 2 TD tickets for the same run in June. Of course I doubt I'll be as lucky with that again. Like I said the VIG badge is no longer such a well kept secret. And while people kind of thought it was a waste of money back when the program started, there is a reason it sells out every year.
while I feel there will have to be changes to the program with the growing number of people going to Gencon every year. I'll say the VIG is more likely still going to be worth renewing for 2015 if you plan to go.

And I want to say I also had a blast in my VIG run. Everyone was really cool, and on top of their game. If you have companion badges in your group and want to make a run together, I say the VIG run is well worth the time.

Yes I noticed the VIG runs last year when I tried to book one because I thought it was a normal run.

I assume the VIG tickets are sold out already as I don't see them available to order anywhere?

VIG tickets sell out in the first 30 seconds or so. Don't bother, unless you have Raven's mystical powers, apparently.

I think we're talking about VIG *badges*, vs VIG tickets.

They were available on the GenCon badge registration system (assuming you could log in when Badge Reg. went live) in the list of choices with 1-day badges, 4 day badges, etc.

They were gone in seconds. In fact, they were gone in less time than it took the average person to click on "VIG badge", select your own name from a drop-down menu, and put it into your cart. Especially since most people were already battling the lag at that point.

I have no special powers per se... but I am proof against the argument that "only people close to the servers can possibly score a VIG badge."

I didn't know there were dedicated VIG TD runs either. I know the VIG program carriers a hefty price tag, and this year some VIG's didn't even get their 1st or 2nd hotel choices. wow..

Yes there were some actual TD Runs that were flagged VIG only on the purchase end. I encountered this when I was pulling runs into my cart at event registration time. It wasn't very many and might have only been a few slots in those runs but I clearly remember getting the Denied message and was annoyed it wasn't flagged as such.
