TOPIC: How many plan on Trading Token at GenCon?

I was wondering how many folks intend to spend a lot of time at GenCon trading tokens. (Or am I the only weird one in this group )

Perhaps we could reserve an area as the Trader Quarter in the tavern.

I'm going to do a little trading, most likely. It would definitely help to know where to go to trade with other players...

When I'm in the tavern, I plan to be trading. Don't know how many tokens will have to trade though.

I think you've seen my posts. I love the trading and tavern aspects. I will be there in the evenings when I am not on an adventure. During the day I will be in my booth on the convention floor selling my books.

I think it's safe to say that I'll spend a large amount of time in the tavern, trading and otherwise interacting with adventuring parties. I did it last year, and there wasn't even much of a token market then.

I think my favorite part about playing a trader last year was just the interacting, to be honest. Trading tokens was merely an excuse - a fun excuse - but I liked hanging out and getting parties excited about their trip into the dungeon, or sharing one of those 'dry" pints of beer with parties when they came back, and hearing their tales of victory or defeat.

from what I've heard there will be a special area for traders, and if I am there I will be trading up a storm

I expect I'll do some trading when I get there. I only got a fraction of the very rare's I was hoping for, so I have a LOT of trading to do. *sigh*

I will be trading Saturday, and quite furiously when I'm "on deck" and know what class I'm playing. I have 250 tokens burning my pocket...

There will be a section of the 'town square' set aside for active token trading, think Middle Eastern Bazar. You can also trade anywhere in the Tavern.

I guess I will need to invest in an "Honest George, Token Trader" sign (made of out wood some how) to get prepared for the Con.

All I need is a slogan.

"Buy your tokens, before it too late"

It would be amusing to find some blood-spattered tokens in something's lair in the dungeon, or an armor token with teeth marks on it lol.

That's great!! Now I plan on doctoring up some of my extra tokens with paint, bite marks, and singe marks to leave behind in the dungeon while I go through it.
