TOPIC: Missed Combo Trade?

So, is there anyway to get the 2009 Combo & Trade if I missed the last day's window (I thought it was at 8pm as the other two days) at GenCon?<br /><br />Thanks!

The official times thread lists a Sunday turn in from 9-10am if you're still in the area.

And you can still mail tokens to Dave as well.  I have to do that, since I did not want to take all of my tokens to GC from CA!

Any Idea how long after GenCon, Dave will still accept combo turn ins ( we are still opening tokens purchased at GenCon)?<br /><br />

<br />I thought he'd only do trade items after the con - not combo items.  Might be mistaken... wouldn't be the first time.<br /><br />

I may have misunderstood - sorry for creating any confusion.

Trade Items (Minotaur Hide, Dwarven Steel, Darkwood Plank, Alchemist Parchment, Elven Bismuth, Oil of Enchantment, Aragonite) and Reserve Bars (Silver, Electrum, Gold, etc.) are available year-round through mail-in.  Trade Items and Reserve Bars are also available at the Con, but not restricted to the Con.  <br /><br />Combo Items have always been available ONLY at the Con, and only in the year they are released.  There was a Sunday trade-in time for anyone who missed Saturday.  At this point, though, it is probably too late.  But this is ultimately up to Jeff and Dave. <br />

That was my understanding also - the only opportunity to get combo tokens was to trade for them at GENCON.  Trade Item Tokens and Reserve Tokens you can mail in tokens to get. 

Unfortunately we were working or on runs opposite the ones we were going to take advantage of and couldn't get moving early enough Sunday to see what was left.  Oh well.  Maybe next year.

Dave is really good about working with volunteers if you're going to be working a shift in the dungeon that conflicts with trade-in times.  <br /><br />I missed the Thursday combo time (I had a conflicting dungeon run, and forgot that I needed to head right there afterwards), but all the Thursday combos were still available at the end of trading on Friday.  I don't know if anything ran out this year.  I know that was a big problem the year of the Spider Silk Shirts, but for the past couple years, I think they've had plenty of Combo items available. <br />

<br /><br /><br />Yes, Combo items have been plentiful the past two years. All of the Combo items were still available by Sunday. In fact, I know people who traded at the last minute on Sunday (almost near 10 A.M.) and still got all of the Combos they needed, so I'm 90% sure they didn't run out.<br /><br />Last year, they were also quite good about having an ample supply.<br /><br />Only 2007 was the major problem, especially with the Spider Silk Shirts, which ran out within the first 30-60 minutes or so. I think they eventually ran out of Daggers of Throwing as well.<br /><br />2006 was the first year that Combos were introduced but they were actually underutilized due to the trading system. Back then there was still an official shop. But you could only make one trade per run. (So you could either make *one* Combo item, or trade for some other red you might need). If you were lucky enough to attend GenCon SoCal (the last year of SoCal), you could make Combo items to your heart's content though.<br />

There are normal combos and there are trade combos.  It is my understanding that trade combos may be available at any event where there's TD (like at True Realms) but the normal combos will only be at Gencon.
