+2 Vorpal Bastardsword: Fighter or Barbarian
In the Dungeon
Must succeed at sliding a 19 or 20 on the first slide. After all combat coasters are on the table, then slide one more time and must slide a 20 for decapitation. Second option would be put an icon on the wheel and get a crit. for the instant slay.

For True Arena
Slide a twenty on the first attempt then on the second slide completely cover any critical hit dot on the board for a bonus 15 hp damage. All the effects for covering a red dot stay the same except the one on the shield. It is cut in half rendering it useless.

To begin with, I wanted to think of clever ways to reinvent some of the rules used or how tokens are used in TD. I just like the concept of using the treasure tokens in the dungeon in more ways than just sliding, and giving them to the DM for consumption. Hence the Diamond Pole, Artful Dodger, and the Monk's Wad entries :)

Gift of the Spider Queen (Necklace) +4 to all Saves. Wearer can Read/Detect Magic at will.
This is self explanatory I hope

Tim's Magical Hat 0 AC Wizard Each round, do 1 point of fire damage to target if damaged by wearer that round.
Look at the bones!

Diamond Pole of Songoku (Quarterstaff +1 stats) + Once per combat as a free action, wielder may imbue staff with a memorized spell. On a crit, the spell is cast by the staff on the melee target in addition to normal melee damage.
No spell boosts, any slide requirements can be considered a 20 since this was cast on a crit. Basically the staff creates a crit ability to cast the imbued spell, can be some sick combos depending on which class is wielding this, or a heal stick if the cleric decides to use Cure Medium Wounds as the imbue and is a damn good slider. Oh yeah, imbuing counts as a tick on your class card
Cookie to who can find the reference here both classical and pop ;)

The Artful Dodger (Item that is in the shape of a coin) This item must be wielded in your main hand at all times. Flip this token. If heads (picture), wielder avoids incoming attack/spell/trap. If tails, DM may declare up to 2 more targets to duplicate action towards using wielder's defense results.
I was thinking late at night that it would be cool to have an item that can be used like a true flip coin with dramatic effects/consequences for use. The main hand requirement should defeat the idea of using a weapon in addition to The Artful Dodger. The name is just a placeholder

Monk's Wad (Item) Once per combat, sacrifice X number of Rare Tokens to reduce incoming damage by X from one source.
my homage to my tokenholic guru Smak ;> imagine the possibilities, I sacrifice 12 red tokens to reduce the incoming fireball in HC for....

Oh to add to the levity:

Big Smak Attack (Scroll) Do X points of damage where X is the total weight in metric tons of all the tokens you are carrying with you during the adventure.

Amulet of Health: +2 to Con, so +3 hp and +1 fort saves (I think most if not pretty much everyone would want this, and would force a choice between more loot or more survivable character for those with the horn. So, for those with a horn, they might use this on their first or hardcore run and use the horn for repeat runs)

Mask of Tracking: would allow the character to see tracks, thus getting an automatic hint or two in the dungeon relevant to that room. This uses the face slot, which is not currently used by any other item.

Gem of Tongues(Orcish or whatever is the right language): allows the wielder to read, write, and speak orcish, again giving some hints or possibly an additional choice in a room, but might only be useful for this year.

Vest of Resistance +2: +2 to all saves, uses the chest not armor slot, so useable by everyone. Everyone would definitely want this, but it does amount to a smallish amount of power creep, as it would free up the shoulder slot for other uses, where now nearly everyone is using a +2 cloak of resistance.

Ring of protection +2: the rings of protection were among the most popular rares, but were a little underpowered for a purple, so make it a purple-level of protection.

Keoghoutom's(or however it's spelled) Ointment(or cleric in a box): One use per dungeon, so the people who don't like consumables will still like it. Will cure light(or medium??), return from stone, stop poisen, and remove paralysis on one character, at a specific moment in the dungeon. Only relevant things will work.

bag/pouch of pixie dust..........a twofold item. carrying on the tradition of tokens being named after much deserving patrons of TD (our resident pixie) and a nice little item for hardcore mode. ;/

must be thrown like alchemist fire or thunderstone for a hit.
if monster is hit, first round monster is bedazzled by the "oooo shineys" floating around its head. the second round, a save at 15? to break the mezmerizing effect. third round the effects wear off.

To tie into last year's dungeon ....

Medusa's Head: monster must save DC 12 or be turned to stone

keeping with that theme...

Perseus' Shield (or Mirrored Shield): +3 AC and immune to gaze attacks

Sceptre of Samedi: once per room, allows a dead character (ghost) to attack monster. Wielder suffers 5 points damage.

I haven't read through everyone else's so I might be repeating something, but here are some of mine.

Bracers of Respite: Once per encounter, wearer can take one extra non-offensive action during his/her turn

Ioun Stone of Negation: Once per encounter, negates one single targeted, range magical attack.

“After a few pints too many, the bards sometimes tell of a mysterious Traveler, who appears at the tavern long after the mangled bodies from the 2008-08-16 23:58:00 run have been swept away from the dungeon. It is said that if you can pay the price of admission, and are foolhardy or *ahem* "brave" enough to gamble with your very life, you’re allowed to take a single pull from the stranger’s Deck of Many Things. Those who have played report receiving great riches and unique items… or utter ruin and damnation.”

UR: One Pull from the Deck of Many Things

This would be a mini-event that takes place at a set time in the tavern on Saturday evening, presided over by the mysterious traveler himself. Turning in this UR would allow the player a physical pull from the Traveler’s deck. Each card clearly states the effects, and all results are permanent and final. Great Risk, and Great Reward.

EDIT: And everyone playing should definitely get a special "I pulled from the Deck of Many Things!" badge.
