TOPIC: Suggested Changes to second Printing of Tokens

Suggested Changes to second Printing of Tokens 19 years 7 months ago #1

Lori or Jeff,
Now that you have sold out of the first batch of token, do you have any plans to make changes for the second batch?

I really think that you should take out the 25 GP very rare token and the 10 and 15 GP rare token. I can live with the Gems (I dont like them but I can live with them), but if I bought only one bag of tokens and my V Rare token was 25 GP I would feel "taken advantage of". In a similar vein the two "gold piece" rares are kind of unfair also.

My suggested replacements would be (for V rare) either a second +1 long sword (which will be the most sought after weapon) or a +1 mace (just to give Gary an excuse to buy more tokens)

For the Rares I would add a second banded and second chain mail armor.

I have some slightly different ideas.

I don't like the idea of having repetative tokens. If tokens are being taken out, I would prefer that new ones be put in their place. I think the +1 mace is a nice idea as the cleric is the only one without a magic weopon right now. As for the rares, you could reprint the scroll of light as a rare. Healing is always wanted, so how about a tile of healing for 3hp(as a midway between the common and v. rare healing potions)?

If you decide that no changes are in order, can you at least change the 10 and 15gp rares slightly. They could be 1 and 2 pp, so they might have some slight blingbling value to them, and remain worth about the same.(In 3.5, that would make them worth 10 and 20gp)
